Ludacris – Move Bitch Lyrics | 9 years ago |
Incredibly deep, understanding lyrics. Perhaps his best are: The bitches want me to fuck 'em true true Hold up, wait up, shorty "Oh aw wazzup, get my dick sucked, what are you doin'?" Side linin' my fuckin' business Tryin' to get my paper, child support suin' Wow. What poetry! What originality! What class! What style! |

Dave Matthews Band – Crash Into Me Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Like most song interpretations, it's interesting to see other individuals' take on the lyrics. I often wonder about the backgrounds and upbringing and experiences of many people who comment here; their comments, (and mine too), are telling of who they are, what they value, what their worldview is, religious or spiritual beliefs, etc. This song isn't "dirty." It's sensual. I really feel sorry for those who don't live in the sensual world, who regard lyrics with even a hint of sex as "dirty." "Hike up your skirt a little more and show the world to me" is purposefully adolescent in its frankness, but it is also the words of a sensual, full grown adult. You can be reactionary and holler it's dirty, but that would be premature. Or, you can chill out and think of the slow love, the sensual love, and the mystery that is a woman. Your pick. Have a nice day. |

It's okay to be mad at God. Reference Job. |
Neil Young – Powderfinger Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Neil Young is blending here. He is blending strong images of war across several wars, and bringing it right down to the personal level, the individual experience. War happens on battlefields, yes, but it also happens in small skirmishes that damage just as much, that destroy lives and everything ends in sorrow, regret, confusion. It's an anti war song but it is also a song of individual freedom, independence in its purest form. To split hairs over this song is fine but I think it leads to no definitive answer. So be it. Neil Young was painting for you here. Enjoy the painting and revisit it often, and never form a final, final opinion... otherwise you might enjoy it less than how the artist intended. |
Neil Young – After the Gold Rush Lyrics | 13 years ago |
All these references to a move that was never produced got me thinking... who indeed needs a movie now, because, by the incredible genius present in this song, you have the movie before you, right there. The entire story. |

Neil Young distanced himself CSNY because of the drug use in that band. Food for thought. |
Neil Young – Helpless Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Have you ever seen, felt, or remembered such a beauty that you were rendered transfixed, weakened, supplicant? You were, in that moment, "helpless." |
Eric Clapton – Circus Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Heartbreaking song. Just came up on my iPod and I logged in to confirm my worst fears. It is about his son. Rest in peace little guy. |

Howard Stern hates this song. |
Eagles – The Last Resort Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I'm a little on the soft side emotionally speaking. Perhaps that's why this song tears me up and tears me up every time I permit myself a listen. If you look at the lyrics, they are very, very distilled. Every word has impact, imagery. Off this last listen, the reference to an "evangelical" neon sign saying Jesus is Coming had me flash on the well meaning but then seedy side of LA where the Eagles where living at the time. A freeway overpass or dirty sidewalk running past a rescue mission or modern day revivalist hall. Neon indeed. Such tightly packed lyrics. This song honestly blows my mind. It's thick, beautiful, and quite painful. Thank you Don Henley. |
