I feel like I need to comment on this song, because I have another thought on it. Going along with what most said about it being about two people in a relationship, there is also the young folks/ old folks part, which reminds me of a relationship between a younger chick and an older guy. He's got a past, he could go through it, but why bother? She doesn't mind what he's been through. All they are focusing on is the here and now - only you and I matter. Sometimes in these kinds of relationships the older guy's friends and the younger girl's friends will say the relationship doesn't stand a chance, but the couple is saying we don't care what you say! As long as it works for us and we have this great connection and these great conversations, that's all that matters. I love you John! |
