Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Lime Tree Arbour Lyrics | 12 years ago |
To me, this is more about a love that has died, or is dying, than a person that have died. Lime Tree Arbour might refer to a place that meant alot to the relationship, perhaps where they both first met, where they spent time together, where they split up, and where they go when they want to cherish the memories about what they had. The entire album seems full of songs about lost love or ruined relationships, maybe apart from West Country Girl which have a hymn of hope about it. |

The Doors – Wishful Sinful Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Probably the worst studio song by the doors. Cheesy lyrics with no class whatsoever. Quite OK melody line for such a cheesy song, but this is one I always skip when hearing through Soft Parade. Plain and simple song about wanting to fuck a young lady. |
Faith No More – Easy (Commodores cover) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Or more likely: Random metalhead: "Dude, your cover of War Pigs really rocked." FNM: "Fuck we got retarded metalheads following us now. Lets do something about it. What about that Lionel Richie tune? That "Easy" song or whatever? Yeah? Alright, lets do it!" |
Faith No More – Jizzlobber Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think this song is definitely about sexual crimes. But kinda more in a karma kind of way.. The first verse is the narrator being sentenced to jail for a crime he has done, a crime he also seems to be aware to have done. The chorus is a bit enigmatic with such few words, but I think it is explaining the "smiles" of the offender, and the "bruises" on the victim. Maybe the first time its the narrators smiles and his victims bruises? "Bars in the womb" could be both a bad feeling and a physical barrier (ouch). "My time is spilt milk": his time is obviously wasted in here. In the next verse, the offender-victim role is reversed, with the narrator being the victim and some inmate being the offender. The roles are also reversed in the second chorus. "Cruel words sleep above me. Mounting and teasing". Inmate raping him sleeps in a bed above him. "I am what I've done. I'm sorry". First now when he have experienced himself how it is to be a rape victim, feeling sorry for what he did to get in jail in the first place. |
