Braids – Lemonade Lyrics | 12 years ago |
LEMONADE I don’t want to go back there I don’t want to know what you’re wearing There are black diamonds in your eyes And just so you know Your skin is scaling Have you fucked All those Dragons yet They’re there sleeping in my backyard They’re just looking out for no one Except their smoking pissing good fun With their dogs and wives and new sons And the mother never will hug Cause she’s never really felt love Just a woman who will always lug Just some honey with a nice shove And what I found was that we were all just sleeping around This girl that use to come here With her daughter and her husband Now no one sees her husband Cause her arse has caught the harvest And her trousers have got a fill I noticed underneath the window sill While I was jerking with my lemonade I told them to fucked and then get laid Now what do you say to man whose got no taste Whose really got no potential Except to procreate for the human essential And what I found was that we were all just sleeping around All we really want to do is love |

Chew Lips – Eight Lyrics | 14 years ago |
It should be: A high-speed chase on your wedding day. Give and take are all the same. Cannons shoot on grassy moor. Where you been, I wouldn't go. Its a high speed chase on your wedding day. Give and take are all the same. Cannons shoot on grassy moor. A battlefield of love and war. |

Stornoway – Here Comes the Blackout...! Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think that this song is about terrorism and stornoway are urging the listener not to give in to fear and become suspicious about everybody. "You're standing on the only chair And you're singing to the screens and the moving stairs All on your own in the arrivals" I think that this verse is about a terrorist attack on an airport, he (the singer) is talking to the terrorist and sort of narrating the events as they unfold. For example the lines about standing on a chair and singing could be a metaphor for a terrorist shouting about his intent, the 'chair' is the means by which he's making himself heard in this case the 'chair' might be an explosive of some sort. "You heard it in the watchman's cry And you saw it in the bleeding evening sky You got a Swiss army in your pocket Cause here comes the blackout" I think in this verse the singer is talking to another terrorist e.g. "heard it in the watchmans cry" means that the terrorist gets the signal to act after a security guard shouts. "here comes the blackout" might refer to the death of the terrorist during the attack. "Now the hooded snake controls your mind It stole your eye on the 7th of July We've got to learn to love our neighbour Before our neighbour starts scaring the love out of us" Here I think that "hooded snake" is a metaphor for the fear people are feeling in the wake of terrorism. The "hooded snake" stole people's eyes (hope, trust etc) on the 7th of July (2005), the day of the London bombings. In the last lines the singer is urging people not to let fear take over and to trust people before the fear takes over. "In the story of the matchstick girl She was freezing on the streets of Peter's (bird?) She lit a match and found a warmer world But here comes the blackout" I don't really understand the first two lines of this verse but the last two are quite self-explanatory, a girl lights a match and kills herself. |

Florence + the Machine – Howl Lyrics | 14 years ago |
found out what the actual line is: "A man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night May still become a wolf when the the autumn moon is bright" |
Florence + the Machine – Howl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Be careful of the curse that falls on young lovers Starts so soft and sweet and turns them into hunters then i think its: "a man whose pure and full and says his prayers by night next he'll become a wolf when the autumn moon is bright" im not sure whether its man or maid but i went for man as im fairly sure that its "his prayer" also not sure about "autumn moon" but autumn seems to fit? |
