Last year, on the corner of 3rd Ave. and Lake Street, a house burned down. The Cook brothers, Justin(?), and other significant EC music folks lived there for a long time. It's the same house the Amateur Love EP was recorded in. |

Oh yeah water street has like 5 bars on it. So it's at least partly about getting drunk on water street. In fact on his going away concert he said something along the lines of "this song is about something that happened right out there" and pointed out towards the river. |

I live in Eau Claire, he's definitely talking about Water Street (down to the downtown) and water street is kind of shitty in some parts (boards, nails) and is also right on the river. Myth = busted. |
