I think the song's meaning is found in this stanza: "And the storm that I thought would blow over Clouds the light of the love that I found" I believe this song is about a man who is singing to (although she is not actually there) an ex who he is still foolishly hung up on, and that this longing is keeping him from fully loving the one he is with now. ('Light of the love that I found' is repeated over and over too) |
