Metric – Twilight Galaxy Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Think of it like this: You're chasing a dream and everyone says that's pointless and you're wasting your time doing this thing; everyone except the one that you love, who supports you through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Chasing a dream and being loved and supported at the same time. It's almost a song of life in a way. |
Chris Cornell – Preaching The End of The World Lyrics | 11 years ago |
I'm hearing a theme of someone that he loved dearly left him. He's looking to replace the void in his heart: If your intentions are pure, I'm seeking a friend for the end of the world The end could be depression leading to suicide. This is really dark, depressing stuff that Chris wrote. Really good music. |
Black Sabbath – Heaven And Hell Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It's the capability of good versus evil in a human. |
Local H – Bound For The Floor Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The whole thing WOULD be nice. Born to be down I've learned all my lessons before now Born to be down I think you'll get used to it And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you don't And you don't And you don't And you don't Born to be down I think that I've said this before now Born to be down What good is confidence? And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you don't And you don't And you don't And you don't And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you don't And you don't And you don't And you don't And you don't And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you don't And you learn to accept it, you know it's pathetic And you don't And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you don't And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you just don't get it, you keep it copacetic And you learn to accept it, you know it's so pathetic And you don't |
Pink Floyd – Mother Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I like that alot. It could work for both sides of the wall though. I think that's what the last line references. "Mother, did it need to be so high." That could be the Berlin Wall. |
Alter Bridge – Slip To The Void Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The first four songs on ABIII seem to deal with love and closing yourself off. I'm guessing |
Bruce Springsteen – Jungleland Lyrics | 12 years ago |
You almost have to look at the whole album to understand. The whole of 'Born To Run' sounds to me like escaping New Jersey in general to search for a better life, although Tenth Avenue Freeze Out throws a wrench in my logic but then again, what exactly is a Tenth Avenue Freeze Out? Sure it could be said that the song references the forming of the band but only one person knows and he's not telling! Thunder Road/TAFO/Night/Backstreets/Born to Run/She's the One/Meeting Across the River/Jungleland. It's structured to tell a story it seems and it's apparently very sad. |
Folk Implosion – No Need To Worry Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Scooter? It would work. |
Primus – The Heckler Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I was actually sick as a dog that day. Still managed to find enough strength to drag my ass across a bridge in the dead of winter to buy two cds. When I mean drag, I walked that day for some stupid reason thinking, Hey I just might feel better. No...No I did not feel better. |
Bruce Springsteen – Thunder Road Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The greatest song from the greatest album ever. I finally have this song memorized word for word. It's the great escape (NOT THE MOVIE) and starting over far away from what haunts you every day. |
Screaming Trees – Butterfly Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I suppose it's written to be depressing but I find it unusually catchy. Kind of just bobbing my head and singing along. Love the band and the track. |
Dan Black – Symphonies Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Certainly unique I'll give him that much. I like this. |
Lady GaGa – The Edge of Glory Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I've never listened to her music at all but the only reason I checked this out was that Clarence Clemons was playing on this song, and for the strangest reason he fit very well alongside her. I don't know why, but it worked. But I like it. Bye Big Man. Thanks for the music! |
Matt Nathanson – You're Smiling Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Yep. Pretty much. |
The White Stripes – Jolene (Dolly Parton cover) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
No disagreements. Excellent movie. |
Chris Cornell – Billie Jean (Michael Jackson cover) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Ok. I love the cover, I really do; but is the solo needed? There's an acoustic version that really will blow people away when they hear it. |
Five Finger Death Punch – Bad Company (Bad Company cover) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Crazy good cover. One of the best I have ever heard. |
The Subways – Rock & Roll Queen Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I heard it on Saints Row 2. Never watched the OC, never would have. |
Pearl Jam – Wishlist Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Call me crazy; but I think there's a religious theme to this. |
Dire Straits – Sultans Of Swing Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I'm 21. I've listened to the song at least once a day for the past 5 years. It's great to see that people my age and younger listening to great stuff like this. This is what music should be. No hidden meanings or anything. No "Oh I wrote this about him/her" shit (Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez. You little bastards are on notice). Just a great rhythm, something everyone can listen to & have a good time. My high school shop teacher was a huge classic rock fan & I was listening to this while the class was working on their projects. I always appreciated classic & hard rock; but this cemented it for me. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to it right now. Everyone nowadays listens to this new rap crap, which is a genre that's gone WAAAAYYY downhill & metal has changed apparently. It's basically mindless screaming now. Can't even understand it half of the time. I'm into mostly Pink Floyd, Metallica, Dire Straits, Led Zepplin, Eric Johnson, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne, Boston, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Rush, Van Halen, there's really too damn many to list. |
Fall Out Boy – Beat It (Michael Jackson cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
ok. This isn't bad; but do we need a guitar solo in every damn remake now? |
Boston – Foreplay/Long Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is such an amazing song. We miss you Brad. |
