Paramore – Crushcrushcrush Lyrics 16 years ago
My favorite line in this song is "I'd rather waste my life pretending than have to forget you for one whole minute" because I know how that feels! Sometimes you have to keep on playing a role in someone's life, even though it's not the role you want, just to keep them around, simply because it's easier than trying to forget them (get over them).

Def Leppard – Heaven Is Lyrics 16 years ago
I love this song, so much! Just another upbeat Def Lep song you can't help but sing along to. And I agree, girls are the closest thing to heaven on earth this world will ever know!

Def Leppard – Blood Runs Cold Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with mslepp that this is one of the most meaningful songs they've ever written. "White Lightning" dealt with their anger and frustration over losing Steve to his alcohol addiction, and this one is more about the pain they felt about it and the sense of despair when they realized there was nothing that could be done. I just think it's so great that the band stuck with him through it all, when a lot of people would've given up.

Def Leppard – Hanging On The Telephone Lyrics 16 years ago
How could no one have commented on this one? This song is off of the Yeah! album, obviously, and is a Blondie cover. I'm not a big Blondie fan, but this song (when performed by Def Leppard) is awesome!!!

Def Leppard – Fractured Love Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this is one of the best songs off of Retro-Active, and is all the more awesome because Steve Clark played on it.

Def Leppard – Tear It Down Lyrics 16 years ago
Yeah, this song was the last time Steve ever performed live on TV. An awesome song, though. It's m favorite off of Adrenalize.

The Academy Is... – Summer Hair = Forever Young Lyrics 16 years ago
I LOVE this song. I always love it when songs use the forever young concept. It seems to me as if the girl in the song is moving on and growing up, while the singer (William) isn't ready to do that just yet. He doesn't want her to forget him or how it feels to be young and in love. Hence, the use of "forever young." And the line "start making plans, start making sense/ don't you believe any word they said" sounds like the outside world is telling her that she needs to grow up, but he's trying to tell her that they don't have to. That's how I want to take it, anyway, because I'm with Blink-182's "What's My Age Again?" philosophy that we don't HAVE to grow up completely if we don't want to.

Tal Bachman – She's So High Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is definitely a great love song. when you're really in love with someone you always feel they're so much better than you and you don't deserve them. We're all self-conscious that people don't love us as much as we love them. I also respect this song because he's in love with a girl that's all natural, because true love has nothing to do with looks, it's about the person. This was my favorite song of the '90s and it always takes me straight back to that wonderful decade!

Blink-182 – The Rock Show Lyrics 16 years ago
This is my 2nd fave Blink-182 song and even though I never saw them in concert, I got to see +44 and they played this song! Talk about making my life complete! Anywho, I think that the line "she took my hand and that made it, I swear" is a spin on the line "take my hand and we'll make it, I swear" from Bon Jovi's song "Livin' On A Prayer," one of the best rock songs ever! As for me, I'm so glad it's summer and my chance to see the Warped Tour is just 3 days away!

Jermaine Stewart – We Dont Have To Take Our Clothes Off Lyrics 16 years ago
I love this song. It was a reaction to the AIDS epidemic of the '80s and it's just a shame that Jermaine ended up dying of it. You got to love an artist who would sing a song like this.

Skillet – Those Nights Lyrics 16 years ago
For me, this song relates to me and all the friends I've had throughout the years. I moved a lot, but I always was lucky enough to make friends that were perfect for me in that stage of my life, and I still keep in contact with all of them, some even after 10 + years! During some of "those nights" our problems were trivial, but now me and my current friends have some serious problems and there's nothing better than having someone to turn to when family just doesn't understand. Family is forever, but at least we get to choose our friends!

Third Eye Blind – Never Let You Go Lyrics 16 years ago
This is my fave TEB song, hands down. It takes me straight back to the '90s everytime I hear it, especially at "I remember the stupid things, the mood rings, the bracelets and the beads, nickels and dimes...." And about the sunburn part, it's about wanting to savor something even though it hurt you, like a sunburn.

Panic! at the Disco – Folkin' Around Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm so glad Panic! did something so different. This song takes me back to my last summer in Memphis, because I loved country music back then (and still do), even though I took a lot of ridicule for it (don't worry, I also worshipped Third Eye Blind and Alanis Morisette back then, and still do). Music is music and I'll love any artist or song that is good, no matter what genre it's supposed to fall under. Also, the line "summers lasted longer than , longer than we do" just takes me back to that summer because I was only thirteen or so and all things last longer when you're young and don't have any worries to weigh you down.

Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics 16 years ago
I hate how so many people talk bad about Blink-182. They are one of my favorite bands simply because they tell life how it is, whether it's the good, bad, funny, or depressing side of it. This song proves that for the depressing side, just like "What's My Age Again" showcases the more fun, more immature side of life. I can definitely understand how this song could inspire people to commit suicide, but only because they don't listen to it all the way through. Sure, "16 held such better days," but so does tomorrow, as he says in the last verse. As for "never conquered, rarely came" grandmabill...it's a spin on the phrase "I came, I saw, I conquered", saying that in life he didn't often come because he never conquered and eventually felt there was no use in showing up at all. That line is so amazing and I can't believe someone could take it so wrong.

Def Leppard – Armageddon It Lyrics 16 years ago
Another of my fave Def Lep songs of all time. It's just so upbeat and so easy to singalong with. And it has Steve's name in it!!! I miss him so much!!! Everytime I go to one of their concerts I say "c'mon Steve, get it" rather than "c'mon boys, get it" in his honor! RIP Steamin'!

The Academy Is... – Attention Lyrics 16 years ago
This is my favorite TAI song of all time and I just wish they got as much credit as they deserve. William Beckett's lyrics on this whole album fit my life so well, especially this song. To me, it's about loving someone that will never love you back because of a situation. It's about knowing you're perfect for someone but you just got there a few days, months, or years to late and they gave their heart to someone else. The chorus is more or less about wanting to tell that person about it and needing so badly for them to understand, as well as just being understood by everyone around you. I could go on and on about the multiple meanings to this because it fits my life more than any song I've ever heard. Thank God William wrote it. The Academy Is... is one of the best bands ever!!!

Fall Out Boy – Hum Hallelujah Lyrics 16 years ago
I LOVE this song so much. It's helped me through so many hard times. No matter what people say about this band and this album, they haven't changed as much as people say they have. Like every other band out there, they're just maturing. I drove through a blizzard for this album and I'd do it again!

Panic! at the Disco – Tonight, Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
No offense, but I think Panic! is so much better than the Smashing Pumpkins. After hearing this version of the song, I listened to the Pumpkins' version, thinking a band that had such an awesome some must rock. They suck. Panic! is so much better!

Panic! at the Disco – Time to Dance Lyrics 16 years ago
LOVE this song. It's my favorite Panic! song of all time. The demo version is also awesome. I love Ryan Ross' lyrics and how he's not afraid to take inspiration from so many bizarre places. Some people look down on modern bands, saying they don't compare to bands of the past, but Panic! proves them all wrong.

Def Leppard – Animal Lyrics 16 years ago
This is my favorite song of all time and Def Leppard is my favorite band. Sure, this song is about a one-night stand, more or less, but I choose to take it more as a life-loving song. It cheers me up no matter what and makes me feel confident again. Songs have different meanings for different people, that's the beauty of music, right?
