I really can't interpret the song, but I have a comment about the different versions - Cohen is a poet. Many of his songs were published first as poems, then composed. Hallelujah was first published as a long poem, and all the different versions (Cohen, Cale, Buckley) use different parts of that poem. Non of them use all of it. |
