"hey you can be so unfair, and you know, i will remember, you said you'd always be there when you go" -the guy got hurt and is saying how unfair the girl can be. he's remembering how she promised she'd always be there for him. "hey i wanted you to know, i wish you were mine, and I, just wanted you to know, I had a good time" -he still wishes she was his even though he was hurt by her and wants her to know that despite everything, he had a good time with her. my favorite part of the whole song though is actually a part that's sort of mumbled. it goes, "hey, you know what you want, well maybe love is blind, it's all right, it's cool, i just want you to know, i had a really good time". he's saying here that she knows what she's after and what she wants, and that love IS blind because he fell for her and got hurt when he didn't expect to. these lyrics are so beautiful. so is the song in general. BOSTON RULES!!! =] |
