Well, i haven't been able to stop listening to this for the past two days ^-^ haha, its lovely. i sort of take it as, the person hes singing to he couldnt take if they fell in love with someone else, cos he says "In hopes your love will soon discover no one" ... as in he hopes they wont ever love anyone else- "All the love she'll hold tomorrow"..... great love song.
anyway i really think this is one of the sweetest (in an unconventional way) songs ive ever heard. brilliant. |

I really love the idea that its about him loving a man, and them not being accepted. very good. but myself always saw it as this sort of, pre-war state, you know... these clouds we're seeing They're explosions in the sky... like... here comes the war, the bombs the shooting... damn the government damn their killing damn their lies... and heres the voice of the story, and like obviously their partener is upset as they are about to die cos of the war, but he says 'soulmates never die' as in, their physical selves may die, but dont worry because SOULmates never die. so hush, its ok, dry your eye. |

I'd have to say this is my most favorite song ever. everything about it is beautiful. and ive always interpreted it as being an expression of just complete and utter handing over the self to someone. to say that you would be someones is just so deep that it is haunting. hed be everything that person needs- father mother, lover. he knows theyre broken and all that. but hell fix that. hell be theirs. heart wrenchingly beautiful. |

So... Go... Poland. German Nazis (the AXIS) over takes Warsaw ((our city... vast and shitty)) mass killing! (they search the buildings... collect gold fillings)the jews get rounded up... and taken to (ghettos!) ... so there he is... hes sitting outside his shanky shack... and she walks past... (oh... when i see you wanna do you right where your standing... ) ... LOVE they fall in crazy obsessive physical emotional love... after all? they dont have food... or comfort ... or anything... at least they can have love? every day spent avoiding gestapo and SS she looks better (miss black eyeliner- youd look finer)... despite the fact people would be looking worse and worse due to lack of EVERYTHING ... finally taken to Treblinka (second only to Auschwitz when it comes to terrible death camps)... men and women were seperated... he gets killed (He wont denouce her- wont let them take her... kill her).... but hey... it was worth it... cos if it wasnt for the war... if it wasnt for the nazis rounding up the jews... he wouldnt have got to meet her... so... love conquors all? I guess its just nice that this guy (max?) could take one of the most horrendous points of the 20th century and find something good about it... |
