A lovely idea smwebber and I simply love contemplating 'wave-particle duality', but I think it's simply a box with eye-holes ;) |

So so sad...I only wish someone close to the man could have helped, there's so many references in his songs, I never really realised what he was singing about. |

Nice, sparkly uplifting song and I agree with some of the comments above, Never seen why it's called 'Slight Return' Any guesses? [I don't think the "I'm coming home" reference is strong enough. for the title] |

This is probably my favourite track from Cinema, beautifully sublime. Overall a more mature album with some sober underlying messages. |

The Cat Empire – Won't be afraid Lyrics

I think it's about death. There are several references 'When the time arrives...' 'Draw the final curtain' In any case it is beautifully poetic, especially the first verse. |

I think it's 'to' not 'too' it links in with next section of the song, on his way to 'The Premiere' stops by her place of work. Listen and it sounds right. |

Agree with all the stuff above, just been looking at the comments against 'Starlings' an equally enthralling track. There is a similarity in the reference to remaining in love when growing old;
'Yeah, kiss me when my lips are thin'
As I approach 50 I can identify with that...
Pure poetry in song |

So no-one has anything to say about the stuff in brackets, it sounds like a live recording so who was the guy with the glasses who was 'brought to the front'. |

Shadoglare, neither had they Trains in the 1700's. But I agree with your senitment re 'every song being about drugs'. Some folk over analyse such beautifully simple songs. 'twas written by Mike Scott, 20th century. |

I'm not sure if it's a little darker than you guys reckon; Seems to me she has an 'affair while he's away, he finds out then puts up with her affair but she leaves him. The passion that kills means he does her in at the end, it was adfter all 'giving him chills'. Very Hollywood dontcha think? |

Hope you can see it through Joe. At times when it all seems like shit and the world's against you, please remember what you have written here.
p.s. get a Paraglider rather than a hang-glider, much easier to transport. |

Read somewhere: 'Kanela' is the name of a club and 'Sol y Sombra' is the name of a cocktail served at that club. Sorta makes sense. |

Faithless – Mass Destruction Lyrics

The debate about Stowaway's son is totally wrong, the lyric is 'Soaraway Sun'. For the non-Brits the Sun is a tabloib newspaper which once advertised itself, in an excited tone, as.. "your soaraway Sun!" |

Kate Bush – Aerial Lyrics

I listened to a 'Sea of Honey' and was disappointed to the point of embarassment at some of the sentimentality, then I put a Sky of Honey on.
Like all the above comentators... I was blown away, I can't recommend it to enough people. If there is a definition of a masterwork this is it, everything works so perfectly, I detect the hand of God in its composition. When does Kate get her knighthood? |
