"1977 was a long time ago" is a reference to the punk movement, saying they wont apoligize for "ruining" the punk or hardcore scene as so many old punks may argue us kids do. its basically telling them to shut the fuck up and get on with it and they dont care what you say. |

you guys seem to forget this song was made WAYYYYYY before edge was considered cool or even accepeted within the hardcore scene. hence the anger and hatred behind this song. to me this song just totally kills it. it is the representative track for a generation of violent youths with nothing to do who couldnt relate to Minor Threat or Black Flag. this marks the beginning of hardcore getting dirty. this song scares the shit out of me. |
