Damien Rice – 9 Crimes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I believe that there's big meaning behind the gun reference...I believe it represents the heart "To give my gun away when it's loaded" and "Loaded" as is filled with an emotion of some kind. I believe the woman has been hurt by another man, and now is afraid to love. She's is upset with her current love and in the midst of it all, she is being seeked out by another man, who has been hurt before too and although they both love each other very much, they still question is this is the acceptable. |
Tori Amos – Mary Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Is it just me or am they only one that hears Tori's native American traits though this song? First time i heard this song back in 2004, and ever since, I think Tribal...and it would make sense on the count that Tori's mother was part Indian and her grandfather was very in touch with such... |

The only comment i have to say are theses....This is obviously a sister song to the right before it in the trakc listing, Strength Through Music. I have a feeling that this song is a telling of the girlfriend of the boy in that song previous. They pretty much go hand in hand. Anyone else have that feelin? |
Tori Amos – Take to the Sky (Russia) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
First, this was the first song written for little earthquakes. This is OBVIOUSLY a song about tori dealing with the painful embarrisment of Y KANT TORI READ. The album go HORRIBLE review, and after a while that really got to her, i mean would it get to you? "you can say it one more time what you don't like let me hear it one more time and have a seat while I take to the sky" Jest look at that, its sorta tori amos bursting with a "Look at me! i wanna show you who i really am!" then come sthe lyrics which directly reference Y KANT TORI READ "And here I stand with this sword in my hand" Tori amos stands on the cover of Y KANT TORI READ with a sword. then, the lyrics... but my priest says, "You ain't savin' no souls." My father says, "You ain't makin' any money." My doctor says, "You just took it to the limit." Reference's to how her FAMILEY AND FRIEDS feel about what she was doing abck then; how she wasn't beein herself. |
The Dresden Dolls – Have To Drive Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Original lyrics... I have to drive I have my reasons, dear Its cold outside I hate the seasons here They suffer mornings most of all I feel so powerless and small By ten o’clock I’m back in bed fighting the jury in my head We lean to drive Its very common, dear my friend and I I’m very frightened. here We suffer mornings most of all we take our oxygen mask off A song goes thick and makes us breath We have no choice we have to breath It is a delicate passion Spin the bottle End transmission something leaking It’s the weekend It’s the weekend Oh Christ the claws are broken We’ll have to drive Or else they’ll catch us Jest get inside And take our chance’s We suffer mornings most of all Wake in a Twisted mess and call to find a telephone and cough “Meet you In an hour at the bar” |
