Paul Simon – Kodachrome Lyrics 11 months ago
It is almost like different songs overlayed together to create an emotional harmony.

Mamma don’t take my…. Reminds me of any kid being grounded and being angry with his parents. High school reunions are usually fun from whitewashing because we only remember the nice things whereas at the time it could have been miserable from peer pressure.

So school sucks as does being grounded. But we want to get our high, whether its via Paul Simon’s music, colors, or whatever makes us artful (could be acid, ha!).

This song is up there as surreal as Paul McCartney’s Let it Be and Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love.

Paul Simon – Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard Lyrics 11 months ago
The mama pajama is Rosie, who is bossy like a Queen, or most Americans that watch the news, and is now watching him and Julio at the schoolyard.
The walrus is Paul.

Cover of Newsweek is the priest, anti war.
Getting released reminds me of Arlo Guthrie’s 1967 song Alice’s Restaurant where breaking the law got him out of going to Vietnam.

Using the whooping Guica friction drum at the time was genius. Like most things Paul Simon.

Sarah McLachlan – Into The Fire Lyrics 9 years ago
Its ecstatic. No idea if its about religion, romance, or too much Bailey's Irish Cream, but its sooooo good, specially if you listed to the MirrorBall DVD version on a good sound system. "O" my!

The first two had skin-deep problems they could share, and move on. The third one had a deeper problem.

Maná – En el Muelle de San Blas Lyrics 17 years ago
Amazing story, but I have heard of one young German woman falling for a married Mexican and staying foolishly faithful. The Mana wharf and the Serrat train station songs may have been inspired in part by a real event, and maybe also influenced by the legendary aspect of Florence Martus' life.
