Dead Kennedys – Nazi Punks Fuck Off Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is a statement of individuality, because it teaches the following ideas:
Think for yourself;
Don't change yourself to fit into crowds;
It really isn't cool, it's pointless and looks really stupid to think you are one thing and actually be another;
If you think you are big and tough around your small circle of friends, there are always others who are bigger and tougher than you.
If your going to do something or be someone, then do it properly and be what you want to be, not what people around you are.

Jawbreaker – Do You Still Hate Me? Lyrics 17 years ago
The guitars throughout, especailly the intro riff, but also the chors in the verse and chorus, create a beautiful sense of atmosphere and a feeling of strong, almost overpowering emotion. The bass is melodic and fits percectly to create a mood alongside the guitars and drums.
It seems to me that during the verse, Blake is trying to make sense of a deeply hurtful breakup in his head, because each line is a statement and shows a relative degree of certainty. Suddenly, in the chorus, all of the lyrics become questions. I believe that this is because he tries and fails to think about what happened in a clear and balanced way, and because he felt so emotional and deeply uncertain, confusion takes over and instantly becomes his state of mind, and his mind is filled with unanswered quesions about her.

Screeching Weasel – Hey Suburbia Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is such an anthem for so many kids out there. It defines the viewpoint of so many young people, and could teach anybody a thing or 2 about their attutude to life. To me, Hey Suburbia makes me feel as though i dont need to listen to others and follow the same path as everyone else just because i am told to or because it's expected of me, because as long as i'm happy and having fun, everything will work out fine in the end.
