Bruce Springsteen – The Wrestler Lyrics 15 years ago
Fantastic song. I agree it's one of the best songs the Boss has written in years. I never tire of listening to it.

Actually now want to see the movie after listening to this song.

It just sounds like a song about a beaten down man. It has some sad lyrics

"These things that have comforted me, I drive away
This place that is my home I cannot pay
My only faith's in the broken bones and bruises I display"

Bruce Springsteen – Terry's Song Lyrics 16 years ago
This is a beautiful song. "Girls in the summer dresses" and "Terry's Song" are my favorite songs on the Magic CD.

The lyrics "They say you can't take it with you, but I think that they're wrong
'Cause all I know is I woke up this morning, and something big was gone" are so sad and the Boss puts so much emotions and feelings into them. This is the most memorable part of the CD for me.

A truly great song, but on a practical note and I don't want to take anything away from Terry, but I think the Boss went a little overboard comparing his friend to the Titanic, Mona Lisa, David and Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Bruce Springsteen – My Hometown Lyrics 17 years ago
Born in the USA had a lot of great hits - Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, Born in the USA, etc... I think My Hometown was one of the enduring hits - a truly great song.

I could imagine a lot of people can relate to their hometown going bad. The place where I grew up certainly isn't the same. Once again, My Hometown is another great story by the Boss.

Stoolhardy and psychospicy got the essence of the song (I'm not sure about the specifics).

Bruce Springsteen – For You Lyrics 17 years ago
nagromnai,

Let's not be petty. If it wasn't for Bruce Springsteen, I would have never heard of Hammersmith. We don't compare it to Madison Square Garden.

Where he played wasn't the point of the commentary. The point is 'For You' was truly great live.

"For You" is an incredible song. You have to hear the live version - "Live from Hammerstein, England."
In concert, he does a solo on the piano, and it is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and it's quite a contrast to the original.

Yes, it's a song about a girl committing suicide. Maybe about a girl who couldn't be contained or a wild child.
