The Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling Lyrics | 15 years ago |
In case anyone cares, the Yiddish should be "Mazel Tov (L'chaim)", not "Mozolotov (Lahyme)". |
Brand New – Not the Sun Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Be my bane makes more sense to the song. I didn't even realize that it might have something to do with Untitled 1. I don't think that this is the case, as brand new never formally released that song. The sun is the centre of the solar system. Everything revolves around it. That's the meaning of the song, IMHO, and BN is trying to say that this person isn't the sun, they don't have the world revolving around them, and, at the same time, don't need to take on the responsibility of being the sun. Louis XIV was named the Sun King, because he believed the world revolved around him. |

Blah. If you're going to submit lyrics, actually submit them. I'm not sure if it actually says "I could never listen". One site has it listed as "I can never love you". It sounds to me sort of like "I could never lose her" |
Brand New – The Archers Bows Have Broken Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I listened to it a couple of times, and it did come out as anti-bush to me. In fact, I'm using it for an anti-bush video montage for school. I had no idea others thought the same. When I downloaded this song, it came out as "The Archer's bows are broken". Where did that come from? |
Mobile – See Right Through Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
For some reason, this song reminds me of the band Thrice. The scope and depth of it, as well as the lyrics. |
Simon and Milo – Get A Clue Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I honestly disagree with everyone's opinions thus far. I think that it's close to obvious what the meaning is. Essentially, the girl likes the guy, he doesn't realize it, and then he does, and realizes that he has the same feelings toward her. Evidence? How kind of you to ask: "The people you ignored before, they took you by surprise." Pretty self-explanatory. "The first one came on a Tuesday afternoon when I first saw you..." By the first "one" he's talking about the first clue, as to how she feels about him. If anyone's seen the movie (which I have, about a year or so ago though), doesn't it end with Lohan's character and the other male character in a relationship that they relized was there all along, but didn't 'get a clue' to see it? That's how I remember it. |
Angels and Airwaves – The Adventure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
To quote Kerrang! Magazine: "It sounds like it has the conceptual depth of Pink Floyd, the anthemic architecture of U2 but with Tom from blink writing all the melodies. All the songs are very cinematic, anthemic and epic-sounding. The music sounds angelic" It's already been stated that it sounds like U2. Is that honestly a bad thing? U2 are one of the greatest bands of the past couple of decades. They have staying power, in that their music will be played forever, like the beatles. As for the meaning, failing marriage notwithstanding, I see a very obvious meaning in the lyrics, relating to Mark and Travis. "Im the first to know, my dearest friends Even if your hope has burned with time Anything thats dead shall be regrown And your viscious pain, your warning sign You will be fine" Does anyone else interpret that as being directed as them, and saying that no matter what's happened between them over the years, they'll always be friends, or something of that sort? |
