Flobots – Handlebars Lyrics

I love this song and the creepy vibe it sends off. It's like a child in the beginning "I can ride my bike with no handlebars" and as the child ages his skills advance, and the possibility to do wicked things becomes more apparent (I can end the world in a holocaust.) |

Bomb the Music Industry! – Side Projects Are Never Successful Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
And when I finally got to work today, I ate my Subway sandwich, and I drank my Coca-Cola Classic, and then I ate my Sunchips and I thought about the weekend when I'd fill up my Ford van with Mobil brand gas and drive to the Clear Channel venue and I'd drink myself a Budweiser and play my Fender guitar through my Fender amplifier and tell the kids with a straight face through a Shure microphone and JBL speakers that corporate rock is for suckers
How amazing is that? |

Justincase – Any Day Now (megan's Song) Lyrics
| 18 years ago

This song is just way too cute for words. It's nice to have a song with my name in it. Perhaps I have a different version of this song, but where it says "I hope you heard this song and it did not make you mad
I hope you heard this song I hope you love this song" in ther version I have, he says:
"now that you've heard this song this song
i hope you think of me
and when you hear this song
i hope it makes you see
that the one who sings this song
is only here to be
a short supply
a short supply of what you need." |

The Rocket Summer – Destiny Lyrics

NO COMMENTS? Sweet Jesus kids. Oh wow, when they performed this live in Albany, I near died. Bryce Avery has quite possibly the most cheerfully energetic stage presence I have ever seen. Really, you should watch the way he belts out "well I just hope and pray that you change that soon. and I would hope and pray if I were you." Much love for destiny |

The Rocket Summer – Around the Clock Lyrics

Clearly Bryce Avery was in a state of intense puppy love when he wrote this =] This is probably my favorite Rocket Summer song, it's so cute and romantic and cheerful. I definately melt when he sings "and I, I am not into the idea of being without you" |

John Mayer – Sucker Lyrics

There's really no words to say, John Mayer is fucking fantastic. Probably one of the most down to earth lyricists ever, and an amazing guitar player. Jack Johnson ain't got nothing on this man. I mean really, "Sometimes I wish that I was a cold beer, I'd rest assure that you would hold me near. I'd be guaranteed to be just what you'd need" how perfect is that? Much love for John Mayer |

Pixies – Gigantic Lyrics
|
Okay, so maybe it is about loving the big black cock. Once you go black you never go back. This we know hah. But for those of you light hearted folk, it could be more along the lines of a boy who kind of takes her away from the world and brings her into fantasy land (walk her everyday into a shady place) and please her, either sexually or emotionally. This resulting in her "gigantic" love for him.
Or she could just want some chocolate lovin. Either way this song is amazing. |

Pavement – Shady Lane Lyrics
|
The story is right on, no doubt about that. But everyone's opinion of a shady lane is going to be different, because it's your place. It's the mental happy spot everyone dissapears to when things are at their worst, and you just want to crawl up into your bed and hide. Nothing matters there, (i.e. religion, politics, social status.. etc) and even though everything is going to hell, there's always your shady lane. |

mewithoutYou – Gentlemen Lyrics
|
When I checked my last.fm account, and saw this song, it said I had played it 193 times. If that's not love, I'm not sure what is. I think this song is about an obsession. He has this obsession with a girl, who he was with at one point or another, and she leads him on. Makes him think he can have everything, but won't give it to him. Especially the "come and whisper in my ear 'you're very pretty, dear' and
'it'll be alright.' you're lying! but I don't mind tonight" part. He knows she's playing games, but just to be around her is enough for him. |

"But when you're tired, if you're quiet, you'll hear me singing you to sleep" absolutely amazing!
last time I saw mewithoutyou was over the summer with chiodos I believe. They put on such a great show. This and "Gentlemen" are probably my favorites. |

Say Hi – Let's Talk About Spaceships Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
say hi to your mom = fucking fantastic. This is one of their more serious songs (if you can believe that) and it's very cute and childlike. I think it's about a guy who realizes his relationship is on the fritz, but is afraid to lose everything by talking it through, so he pushes it away, trying to focus on cute, sweet conversation topics.
Oh, and what is this commercial you speak of? |

Oasis – Stop Crying Your Heart Out Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
This song is definately nothing less than phenomenal. It's so beautiful and bittersweet, the type of song you play on repeat in your room after a rough day and just vibe to. It's a spark of hope that everything will be okay, don't be sour, don't cry, it'll all work out. If only there were more optimistic songs as lovely as this. |

Stone Temple Pilots – Big Empty Lyrics

I always kind of thought it was about a guy just watching his relationship go down the tubes. Not so much a breakup song, but a "hey this is the downfall" song. She has her problems, he's run down, and it's just not working out anymore, so him "taking her home" is almost a way of cutting it off. |
