Soundgarden – Limo Wreck Lyrics
|
I think this song is about God destroying humanity because it has become to advanced. Beginning with "Building the towers, belongs to the sky" refers to the Tower of Babel, I believe, where God foiled man's attempt to build a tower to heaven. This is expanded on as humans perform other actions that are best left to the sea or the wind (i.e acts of God) and they all come crashing down etc. |

I definatly see this as a big double entendre, I'm especially surprised no ones mentioned "If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair yet", haha. |

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – The Ship Song Lyrics

Simply one of the greatest love songs ever written, with a semi-dark undertone typical to Nick Cave. Man I want to see these guys live, had a chance about a year ago but ended up getting into them just after that. I hate how that always seems to happen to me... |

The White Stripes – Blue Orchid Lyrics

I think just from reading over the lyrics it is about public expectations and opinions on the white stripes. "How dare you, how old are you now anyway?" Sort of like saying, "Come on, step down from the music scene, your fad has passed." |

To the stupid Beatle elitists giving evanchester a hard time here is a quote staight from John Lennon in reference to the song: "I was just having fun with words. It was literally a nonsense song. You just take words and you stick them together, and you see if they have any meaning. Some of them do and some of them don't." |

I can't stand this song, the only thing good about it is the wah solo (even though its misplaced and shit) just because wah kicks ass. |

Linkin Park – In The End Lyrics

Facking Hell you are officially a moron. Apparently not only can you not understand irony you also have to use the most generic musical insult these days by calling them "emo". Linkin Park are not emo, emo is not every band you don't like. Emo is a genre not anything with emotion of some kind in it. |

To Nickel4YourThoughs: Sorry but I'm going to have to say that Freddy Mercury, Robert Plant and possibly Chris Cornell were better. I love Jeff Buckleys voice also though he's amazing, so don't take it too personally. He has an incredible truthfullness to his voice its great. |

X – Johny Hit and Run Paulene Lyrics

Its more complicated than rape its more about a drug manufactured that allows this man to have sex once every hour but instead of just being able to he needs to and so it leads to rape and murder. This was before viagra was invented mind you. |

Limp Bizkit – The Truth Lyrics

It makes me sick that Fred Durst has been heard to say he is picking up where Rage Against the Machine left off. Untalented asshole translation:Oh shit I just realised all our music sucks and we killed rock-rap! Hmmm, who were a more succesful rock-rap group than us? Oh thats right RATM! We'll just make mediocre rip offs of their sound while trying to cling on to fame despite our suckiness. |

To Limpbizkit4life: HAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHA! I could go on about how it is not difficult to put generic tough guy shit about breaking stuff in your song and how much an untalented jackass Fred Durst is but it'll never get through your immensely fat head. So I'll just laugh at you some more HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! |

Green Day – My Generation (The Who cover) Lyrics

|
FreakinGreenRican: No, no it doesn't. NO NO NO. Roger Daltry pwns almost every other singer, everything about the Who is better than Greenday. They were an important and influential band that helped establish a genre as opposed to Greenday who helped to destroy one. |

I don't really listen to Marilyn Manson anymore but I find it sad that he degrades himself as an artist and lyricist through cheap theatrics. This is a great song. |

Hilary Duff – Rock This World Lyrics

This song made me physically sick, Hilarly Duff I hope you visit sites like this and realise how much real music fans despise you. It wasn't really personal untill you did the WORST cover ever (My Generation - The Who). I hear models download it to help them throw up with out the inconvenience of putting a finger down their throat, but several die from overdoses due to listening to the mind numbing shit to often. |

Green Day – Boulevard of Broken Dreams Lyrics
| 18 years ago

This song ripped off the tune from Sleep by the Dandy Warhols. Heres a fun fact, Greenday finally manged to meet their idols the Buzzcocks (real punk band) this year and were dismayed to have Pete Shelly say "I don't who they are, but they're sure as hell not punk." |

Nirvana – Heart-Shaped Box Lyrics

If it hasn't been brought up yet the relevance of the pisces is that according to astrology pisces are naturally attracted to weaker people. This could be Kurt saying that as addicts both him and Courtney took pleasure out of each others weakness or if you want to follow the cancer theory brought up earlier weaker people will be more likely to catch cancer. |

The Beatles – Penny Lane Lyrics

I like how even though it at first seems very bright, cheery and naive it has a sleazy undertone with such lines as "fish and finger pie" and "keeps his fire engine clean. It's a clean machine." Both can just be read in a literal sense but I think their conotations are clear. |

The Beatles – Why Don't We Do It in the Road? Lyrics

Paul McCartney does the most incredible high vocals. His bluesy rasp is great too. Kind of funny he did one of his greatest vocal performances ever on a bit of filler on the White Album. |

The Doors – Five to One Lyrics

Squiggnypeppy if you don't want to discuss the songs meaning then kindly tell me what the fuck you are even doing here? I personally think this song is quite cynical towards the hippy movement, "trade in your hours for a handful of dimes" suggests that the hippies will abandon their movement for only a portion of what they demanded, which is effectively what happened. |

Has any one noticed that as the song goes on and Black Francis's desire for the person he's missing grows, his instincts grow more and more primal. First he just wants her smell, then he wants the dress to be covered in wine and food then finally he wants blood. |
