i heard some 1 say that the lead singer said"if u knew what this song was about u would tar and feather me". let's do a backround on the lead, he was home schooled, and what we know about most home schooled indivuals is that they r usally done so b/c their parents are overtly religiouse. i believe the lead is writing lyrics to rebel against being force fed christianity.u can hear this in hurt's lyrics "rapture", "talk to god" and i believe this song. these lyrics are about a girl from a fanactical home, who won't stand up for herself, so she finds herself in a cycel of abusive relationships. i believe the lead blames god "i m flawed desparate angry at god, because he just won't care" it is easy to do when fed bullshit that god is one demenional, a judging god & not a forgiving and loving god. i think i dig hurt b/c of this. i had a simular back round & though they scare me shitless, -don't bring a railing accusation to god" something from my childhood- at the same time i m messmerized by them for expressing what i feeel inside. p.s.
