i love this song. but sadly, i let a a guy turn me into \"that girl\" I was told that I was \"beautiful\" by him, but i definitely didnt mean a thing to him. so whenever i listen to it, i just think *damn* it\'s all true. and i can picture him doing everything, /i wanted to believe in all the words that i was speaking as we moved together in the dark and all the friends that i was telling and all the playful misspellings../ i was too wrapped up into him and didnt want us to fade, as the song goes. but in the end- the relationship was vile and cheap and i didnt mean a thing to him. kinda sucks ass to be this girl. but this song is gorgeous and beautiful and one of my favorites. just about being with someone you shouldnt be with and you try, and try, to make it work but if your not fully in it, it\'s not going to work. makes me feel bittersweet to listen to but i cant help it-it\'s a great song. |

the lines "we had the chance and threw it away And it's never gonna be the same " make me think of a relationship that ended,or failed attempts at ones. "And it's never gonna be the same 'Til the life I knew comes to my house and says Hello Hello! Hello! Hello! Hello! It's good to be back " makes me think that the person is done with the moping around b/c of the rejection and just wants to be happy again, hence the whole "the life i knew",like their previous life before the shit hit the fan. they realize life is way to short to sit around and dwell and you just gotta move on and it's worth it, b/c "it's good to be back" i just love this song. it makes me just want to say FUCK YOU to anyone who put me down. just the ending is awesome "hello....it's good to be back" |

"i'm definitely shaking the silence isn't breaking backwashed and stranded memories of something i thought could be " the chorus is definitely my favorite part of this song. not only for it's sound, but for it's lyrics. To me, the narrator has memories of maybe a past relationship that could have been something great and still thinks of that person. he's stuck in a world of fakes and drama kings & queens and maybe the one person who made sense to him, or who was different from all the rest, left him and wouldnt give their relationship a shot. |

| I completely relate. Going through my own heartbreak of mine and dealing with feelings that wont go away. To me- it's about being so wrapped up into someone and feeling so much for them. you think you can get over the person (i keep thinking in a moment that time will take them away) but you feel so strong for this person that "these feelings wont go away". it's such a beautiful song. and i think many can relate. i love the beginning lines. it sums up how i am dealing with certain emotions and thoughts. it's hard to me to let go and for certain thoughts about my ex to leave me. such a gorgeous song. | |
