Evanescence – The Only One Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I disagree. I think its an awesome song, with an awesome message. Its about 911, and Bush, and everything thats happened since then. |
Veruca Salt – Disconnected Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's definatly Grohl. The whole album is about Grohl and her ex bandmate. "You can't make me love your band or buy your records". Most ex's don't have bands and records. |
Nine Inch Nails – Right Where It Belongs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it's a feeling that very introverted people get. (I would assume Trent is rather introverted) When you live so much of your life in your head, and spend so much time alone, and there's so much about yourself that no one else knows but yourself, sometimes you can't help but wonder...how much about you is "real" and how much is just in your head? It's a feeling that's very difficult to put into words, but, of course, Trent can. |
A Perfect Circle – Annihilation Lyrics | 19 years ago |
way to talk about the song guys. can't you take that crap to one of a million political rant forums that i never read? i think it's pointed towards everyone equally, militants, insurgents and regiemes alike |
The Cure – Watching Me Fall Lyrics | 19 years ago |
One other thing...is it "sucking inside" or "saki inside"? I always thought it was saki, it would make sense being in Toyko, but I had never considered the other one |
The Cure – Watching Me Fall Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To me is seems like he's doing something he doesn't do often, if ever, and he's nervous about it. Like, for example, having sex with a prostitute in Tokyo. Or being in a threesome in Tokyo. There's little question that sex is involved though. For some reason the ideas of prostitution and a threesome stand out to me. *shrug* could just be me though |
The Who – Behind Blue Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think Pete's recent legal trouble should prove beyond any doubt what the song is about. Being a pedophile. It's glaringly obvious to me, and it has been since the first time I heard it (which was recently). Put aside all your hate and revulsion for a second, try to think of it from his point of you, and read the lyrics again. "No one knows what it's like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes" |
Linkin Park – Breaking The Habit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think people (mostly teens) today think every other song is about suicide and multilation. To me this song seems to be about addiction, and the frustraition and confusion that comes with it. "I don't know what's worth fighting for Or why I have to scream I don't know why I instigate And say what I don't mean " What exactly the addiction is is up to the listener. It could be drugs. It could be, as most of you suspect, cutting. Or it could be something else. On an unrelated note, please don't insult people for disagreeing with you. It just makes you look immature. |
Evanescence – Understanding (Can't Wash It All Away) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think that each song can (and should) have a unique, personal meaning to everyone. That's much more important than any "offical" meaning. This song will always remind me about a little girl I know and care about who was molested. Whether or not that's what Amy meant when she wrote it (doubtful) it describes her and my feelings towards her perfectly. Now that you've read this go read the lyrics again. "Can't wash it all away Can't wish it all away Can't cry it all away Can't scratch it all away " Oh, and I think the ending is wrong, it's "I'll die if you do" |
