It's about the lie. It's about leading people off to War for a lie. It sums up the Wall perfectly. Here's this kid who's Dad doesn't come back... You can have any bombastic reproach you want (when the tigers broke free), but when you have a song like this... that's so understated... it's power lies in what's unsaid. Vera sings hopeful songs to "Pink's" deafened ears, and this is his reply. |

the lyric is read by nick mason it's about some radio dj that the band was pissed off with, probably over something he said about them... doesn't much matter though, the slide guitar kicks ass. fave band. |

child molestation. predatory imagery. anyone can take any meaning from a song, it's neither right or wrong. the artist's intent isn't always met. but this one sounds like it's either subconsciously or consciously about child abuse. |
