Relient K – When I Go Down Lyrics 18 years ago
I had this album for a really long time but never commented on it. I love this song. It really helps me deal. I think it's about being sad, missing opportunities, hurting friends, not really appreciating things when they're given to you, ignoring your problems. Basically being so wrapped up in yourself that you let everything that matters slip through your hands. When you are at your absolute lowest, you have to just look to God and ask for help and the strength to turn your life around, take responsibility and follow through. It's a beautiful song.

Fort Minor – Right Now Lyrics 18 years ago
I like in the beginning how Mike starts talking about all the people, and one person is connected to the other just because you're in the same vicinity....the guys car gets stolen, someone else is in another car, he's looking at someone else etc. It reminds us we all have to be aware, "just take it all in" take a look at other people's situations, and appreciate what you have, even if it's small, cuz it could all be gone. Then it goes further and further away.

And Black Thought sums it all up. It's all part of life, we're all in the same boat from the moment we're born.
"Down the hall a child is takin' its first breath
The doctors ain't even passed him to the nurse yet
Yo, I wonder of he understand what it’s worth yet
Life, the time spent while we here on the earth yet
The answers to the questions we all seek
Can be found, it depend on how free y'all think.....
Right now everybody got to get it together man"
Good song!

Fort Minor – Remember The Name Lyrics 18 years ago
^^ I agree, I heard this song and it made me buy the album. It does exactly what the song is designed to do, it gives you a feel for what he and the group are doing. I like how he breaks down the numbers, that's what having passion for music is, all those elements.

Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics 18 years ago
I bought the album and my sister jacked it from me and plays this song nonstop in her car!

Mike said his wife cried when he let her hear it the first time. I like that he wrote it on her behalf. She probably realized that he does listen to her when she complains to him, lol.

Fall Out Boy – Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner Lyrics 18 years ago
Everyone keeps asking about the Dirty Dancing Reference. I think it has a lot in common with the movie. In the movie, their whole relationship was a secret and it was taking a toll on both of their lives. So they decide to go their own ways - he quits and drives way never to see her again and Baby goes back to her family...they burned that bridge just cuz they thought it was best, like the song says. They of course were both lying to themselves. So what happens? Patrick Swayze comes back and says "Nobody puts Baby in the Corner"...consequences be damned, I have to be with you even if the relationship's too hard to handle, choke on it if it means I get to be with you.

Well, the song of course was probably written on his own experiences and the movie probably reminds him of his situation. He had some sort of secret going with the girl (wether they were cheating, or she was hiding him, or ashamed of him...whatever it could be anything) and they decided to break it off.....he's obviously hurting and jealous (she chose the other guy or found a new guy) and he wants to be with her because the relationship is so natural (comes as easy as you) even if the relationship wears her down....he's torn between loving her and keeping his distance. He probably says "I'll weigh you down, I'll watch you choke, you look so good in blue" cuz he's torn between loving and hating her - she should love him enough to suffer through their problems just to be with him. That's what I think.

Bloodhound Gang – Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Lyrics 18 years ago
yeah, he does say "so hypothetically". You can hear it. That's what I always thought he said since the first time I heard the song.

This song is so catchy, I sing "foxtrot, uniform, charlie, kilo" all the time. I'm surprised no one has figured it out and yelled at me. I love the video too.

The Postal Service – Such Great Heights Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song. I hear it all the time, but the other day I noticed that another version of the song is in an M&M commercial (it looks like a kaleidoscope). It's really slow, and sad, sounds a little like a folk song. Can anyone tell me who sings that version of the song?

Jimmy Eat World – Work Lyrics 19 years ago
"If you only once would let me
Only just one time
Then be happy with the consequence
With whatever's gonna happen tonight"

I don't think the work part is about the workplace. I think it's more like working through emotional torment. They keep flirting with the idea of getting together "play", and for some reason she's resisting it. That kind of dynamic is hard to deal with and you really have to "work" through it.

Like when he says "The love we make it's give and its take I'm game to play along" he realizes that he has to work to get through it, it's kinda like the games we play when we first get together...the will we? Won't we? part of every beginning relationship.

And when he says "The things we think might be the same But I won't fight more Its just not me to wear it on my sleeve Count on the for sure" it seems like he's realizes that they both have the same idea of being together, but he's also admitting that all the back and forth and resisting is taking the fight out of him. He doesn't want the work part of the relationship anymore - "Work and play they're never ok to mix To mix the way we do" and he admits that he might be wrong to push her into going into the relationship and that his pushing takes a toll, but she's also taking a toll on the relationship by not wanting to give in - "Can't say I was never wrong But some blame rests on you".
