Honestly, this is gonna sound really lame but I feel like I'm on the same page as Panda Bear. and I don't even like the new album as much (yet) - I go to UGA and just finished my English and Philosophy degree about how all these stories they've been telling us are like myths to impart some meaning but they don't know it. We started an electronic band just for fun, and now rave/house music is just the thing to try so uhh I feel like we're abreast somehow. Did Panda Bear influence me? I dunno, probably, but not with this particularly before this album came out |

The Books are incredible. They are affirming a kind of emerging consciousness in people that keeps from giving up entirely on this world. Brilliant musicians too, they can put these thoughts into songs that don't sound lame like songs about science and consciousness usually would. Beautiful song. |

they (or at least Panda Bear) have a lot to say about music and being in a band. That bit here in the first part reminds me of the song from Person Pitch where he's criticizing people who suck up his music that he works hard to make and act like they are cool for vicariously using something else as THEIR identity.
Interesting stuff, they are just perfect at making music- and all the baggage that comes with it. I like this EP best since Feels so they def. still have it! |

I used to think he was saying, "Pure folk beauty"... I know that during the recording of this album he was dealing with the migraines and being addicted to painkillers, this song always sounded like a love song and I can't know what to make of the 'company in my back' but it's sooo beautiful. |

It's about a lot of things guys. Get pissed off geez, it's obviously a commentary about what things are beginning to feel like. I think the professor of death bit is a rebellion against the facts of doom, we obviously can't live forever (no use saving the dogs bones) and you can sing a long winded blues of the never happenings. But- the dawn of the luz of forever (of the loser forever, partly) the light of consciousness is beginning, a few guys above me said dome interesting things- jds reply to heiniken, luz is also hebrew for the indestructible bone at the base of the spinal column, WG's talking about the consciousness... There's just so much to this, great song, very dark, very modern. |
