C'mon u guys. Who cares if they're a christian band or not? It's the song that we're supposed to be commenting on.
Another way of interpreting his song is that he's talking about his memory and how it always bring up the bad memories. The "skyline" is probably hope and how he shouldn't dwell on the past and just keep going towards whatever it is that will make him get out of the funk he's in.
I live in VA and my friends and I would always go to Shenandoah, and Skyline Drive is absolutely beautiful. |

This song is about a guy, his friends, and Allie.
Allie is a friend of his who on graduation day, on her way to the ceremony, got into a car accident and died. Then the following the verses talked about what his friends did during the wake. They went to the beach, which is probably Allie's favorite place, and reminisced about her life. They sang on top of the car and acted as if she was there. They believed that she wanted them to keep on living. They loved her so much that just a few minutes with her felt like it was a lifetime. |
