UB40 – Red Red Wine (Neil Diamond cover) Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Neil Diamond wrote this song and released it in 1968 and was covered by Tony Tribe (a reggae version that UB40 thought was originally his) but has also been covered by Bob Marley and Charles Mann. And yes UB40 are from England they got their name from a dole form. |

TISM – Give Up For Australia Lyrics | 12 years ago |
I thought it went a lil' sumthin' like this: (5 minutes,4, 3, 2, 1.. Gold to Australia) Gooooold! (5 minutes) Goooold! (5 minutes,4, 3, 2, 1.. Gold) May all our young Aussie swimmers Be resigned to failure; May our nation's state Be always second-rate. (5 minutes,4, 3, 2, 1.. Gold to Australia) May Timorese fishermen Evade the Aussie sailor; Do as history teaches - Die on Middle Eastern beaches - "Give up! Give up! Give up! for Australia." (Hands up who wants to die.) (Go and get lost.) We produce a Norman May Not a Norman Mailer; May this land's vast distance Always treat us with indifference - "Give up! Give up! Give up! for Australia". |
Current 93 – Time Tryeth Truth Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Correct your lyrics!: The first spooken word bit is mostly wrong and star should be spelt "starre". "If I cast my eyes before me, what an infinite space in which I do not exist; And if I look behind me, what a terrible procession of years in which I do not exist, and how little space I occupy in this vast abyss of time..." Like to the falling of a Starre; Or as the flights of Eagles are; Or like the fresh spring's gawdy hew; Or silver drops of morning dew; Or like a wind that chafes the flood; Or bubbles which on water stood; Even such is man, whose borrow'd light Is straight call'd in, and paid to night The Wind blowes out; the Bubble dies; The Spring entomb'd in Autumn lies; The Dew dries up; the Starre is shot; The Flight is past; and Man forgot The wind blows out and the bubble dies The spring entomb'd in autumn lies The dew dries up and the starre is shot The flight is past and man forgot And earth covers earth And time tryeth truth Earth covers earth Time tryeth true |

Current 93 – It Is Time, Only Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |
When I listen to this song I am sure he says "bartered for flowers" instead of "Parted for flowers". In another line "And slipped so sweetly Into your grace" I am sure should read: "And slipped so sweetly Into your grave". Makes more sense. I don't have official lyrics - will have to wait til Mr. Tibet released his book of lyrics this year to confirm. |
Harry Chapin – Dogtown Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Actually guys, this song is called "FOREVER" and it is an improvised song they do live at concerts - the lyrics change each time. It is on the Curiosity tape as "forever". I love this version. There are at least 2 versions available on the new DELUXE EDITIONS remasters. |
R.E.M. – Orange Crush Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Where does the dialogue come from? Sounds as if it's off a movie, or news clip from the time... We'd circle and we'd circle and we'd circle to stop and consider and centered on the pavement stacked up all the trucks jacked up and our wheels in slush and orange crush in pocket and all this here county hell any county it's just like heaven here and I was remembering and I was just in a differnet county and all then this whirlybird that I headed for I had my goggles pulled off I knew it all I knew every back road and every truck stop |

Morrissey – Don't Make Fun of Daddy's Voice Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I thought the "something got stuck in his throat" was a double entendre meaning getting the gay accent and oral sex. Don't you think? Like getting a 'bone' stuck in your throat! I thought this song was hilarioius!! |
