the name of this song is actually "Act On (feeling alone)". I have the cd jacket with all of the lyrics in it, but not here in my apartment. :( it's going to be my duty to go home this weekend and look at the lyrics again. I remember I saw reubens accomplice open at a jimmy eat world concert a couple of years ago. I had never even heard of them, but I liked them so much I bought their cd. they were hanging out at the entrance after the show with a book to sign in so I signed in it and met them. I've liked them a lot ever since. this album is amazing. |

I don't really think this song is about drugs when they have another song on the same album called "Drugs or Me"... just imo. Yeah, it seems like the guy doesn't want to be with the girl, but she keeps telling him "just tonight" and he keeps caving in. |

This is an amazing amazing amazing song. Definitely is one of the best, if not THE best song on the album. I could listen to this song over and over and never get tired of it. To me, it seems like.. both people have feelings for each other, but the girl is apprehensive and doesn't want to take the next step, so the guy tells her: "You'll sit alone forever If you wait for the right time What are you hoping for? I'm here, I'm now, I'm ready" Kind of self-explanatory if you look at it in that light. |
