Firstly there is no doubt at all that this guy is a talented singer/songwriter however "A talented artist" give me a fuckin break!
Where is the guitar? No, just fuckin pop instumental.The only reason he is popular is that his record company in order to make money has come up with a new concept of changing the accoustic/folk/rock genre into pop for the brainless masses. For example what is the chance that most people who like him have never heard of jack Johnson and listen to usher on a regular basis! even if i am incorrect the point that i am making is correct just by lookin at the comments on this thread. Even the lamers over on the nirvana threads don't come out with as much shit as they do here.
Anyway, sorry if i offended you but i will make up for it by enlightening you to the meaning of this song which you probably have not even bothered to think about. By dawn he does not refer to dawn as a person but the time dawn when the sun rises. Yes, this song is about getting high and watching the sun rise. At know point in this song does he refer to dawn as a person but he refers to the scenery many times. Also in a way "your beuatiful" is also about being high because the reason that randomer is so powerful to him is that he is high which he clearly explains in the line "i was fuckin high". If you do not agree with me stop being in denial and so fuckin iggnorant!
Ignorance ey? A song, no matter what it means to the artist who wrote the song, it can mean many things to many different people. What do I think it means? I think it means nothing, all that it makes me think of is just being so happy you feel "high", I assume we all know what high means right? Running wild among all the stars above. The guy's happy, to me that is. So EL BASTARDO, don't have a go at people for having their own opinions, just be thankful that we won't waste our time analyzing your comments, you fuckwit. |

Shame it lasts 38 minutes, well the song doesn't but the file it's contained on does (in the 32nd or 33rd minute an instrumental comes on, not a fantastic one, but never the less, it's Oasis material). |

Many b-sides can be good enough to be a-sides but if they just through an album of good songs together it would surely have something missing, that perfect flow in an album which is essential in many cases.
E.g. If "Rock 'n' roll star" was put on the second track on "Definetley Maybe" the album may not flow through as well as it does.
Its all about syncronisation on some albums, otherwise i'm sure this song would have definetley made a great, brilliant, sensational a-side! (maybe).
Noel wanted Oasis to be a good b-side band, his idea was to lead up to a b-side collection like many of his favourite bands before e.g. The Smiths. |
