could i point out that it would be pretty much impossible to write any half decent song whilst on any half decent drug. so this song and lsd both being rather top notch, the 'written on drugs' theory just doesn't cut it for me. also, lsd is not an acronym since an acronym has to make a new word like s.w.a.l.k or whatever. |

Radiohead – Climbing Up the Walls Lyrics

can anyone give me the name of a band or an album where the main style is similar to this song? the one thing i don't like about radiohead is the fact that you'll find a song which is just genius, you can't believe what a masterpiece it is and then there'll be no more of it. sure there'll be other masterpieces which i love, but i want some consistency. this song is the perfect expression of my mind and i need more. this is why i wish i were dead for not being able to create music, if i could, i wouldn't need this. |

i think i saw this song on top of the pops at some time and they were supposed to be miming but the band didn't do anything but you could still hear the music, apparently they did this in response to the slaughter of lemmings or something |

yeah, good way of 'setting it down'. you lost any respect of any non-shit human just by your name you fucking fascist. also, use of the word faggot is not generally the way non-bigots conduct themselves, so anything you say is now inherently bullshit. so i think you are the one who ought to fuck off you scared little pussy. |

Radiohead – Fitter Happier Lyrics

yeah well, it doesn't matter if you give up on your ideals or not because you'r fucked either way. i choose not to live a life where i'm always hopeful and looking forward to things i know for a fucking fact aren't going to happen and i find it sickening how many people do. it's strange because it's actually the hordes of people living in hope that are fucking things up. it's like capitalism. you'd say that we'd be pathetic drones, knowing our own doom if we give up hope and we'd be like zombies, but if everyone would just admit that things don't work, that right now our ambitions can't be realised, maybe we could fuck the system in its face and change things. carrying on hoping doesn't change anything except in your own head. pragmatism includes knowing your limits and anyone who says they don't have limits is lying to themselves. |

despite being a massive radiohead fan, i actually prefer the flaming lips cover of this song. it's more psycologically disturbing with wierd guitar things in the background. add me to msn messenger (my address is on my profile) and i'll send it to you. |

Radiohead – Morning Bell Lyrics

anyone else think this song, in parts, sounds a bit like semisonic's secret smile? anyway, i prefer the amnesiac version especially the 'cut the kids in half' seems to carry more of the relevant distress. but, actually i'm listening to the kid a version for the first time as i write this and i like the wierd scary bird sounds in the background near the end. oh, it's finished |

about lethe the river hades forgetfulness thing, that sounds good, apart from the fact that thom said it was the liffey in dublin, since he described the feeling of floating about in the same way he did when talking about pyramid song, which he said was about a 'river of forgetfulness' |

oh and another thing, i've heard some people going on about how the lyrics are hard to make out and that radiohead won't release the actual lyrics. they're in the bloody booklet that comes with the disc, so i don't know what they're on. ah well, maybe i imagined it or something. |

yeah but it's the fact that they actually changed the sodding lyrics for a pissing advert, probably ruining the song for a lot of fans. and for what? if they're popular enough as it is then i'm assuming that they aren't so strapped for cash as to require doing this |

Radiohead – Pyramid Song Lyrics

i reckon the tone and mood of the sounds in the song make it seem like an aural representation of an actual dark murky river liek the themes or something so i think the jumping in the river thing is a real river, i.e. that the man\'s killed himself and not fallen in love or become enveloped in something. it makes sense to me. the ghostly angels and figures from his past drifting away as he sinks into the water or whatever. at first it appears a positive thing, nothing to fear, nothing to doubt but to me it\'s extremely depressing and very real - the idea that the only way to escape all the fear and doubt and bullshit is to kill yourself. still my favourite song of all time. |

anyone who thinks a song is about jesus is a dick. even if it actually IS about jesus, you're still a dick for implicating a fictional character into every fucking song you listen to. maybe if you spent some time absorbing REAL culture instead of willingly filling your head with bullshit indoctrination, you might have known what it was really about. now piss off. |
