Well miss thing, maybe they are all right and you are right also, because that song was dedicated to his sister who died, maybe it's about how typical this world is and how different she was, maybe it was a comment that she never "conformed" and they locked her away, in a sense. It could be a dedication to her personality to HER, not to how he felt or anything like that. Wouldn't you want to write a song to remember her by, not to dwell on her death. But hey, it's really only everyone's opinion, unless u ask dave! |

I've been addicted to drugs, I love this song because it explains that addictions never really go away. It explains the pain you go through for your entire life after having an addiction. I mean my head won't leave my head alone is a key phrase if you've ever been trying to tell yourself why you know it's better not to do drugs, but you really can't get over the feeling that you need to. I wish I didn't smoke or drink to reason with my head... I mean there are so many things you do to avoid the real problem and thats a perfect example. But I also know when he says needle to the vein, needle to the vein, please take this needle from my vein my friend, it is him asking for help, but it could be from god, a friend, anyone or thing really. I also enjoy that live he sometimes change that to please leave this needle IN my vein because you can't win every battle, and that's the real war with an addiction. |

I think he's trying to tell us we are living of life of nothingness. We never take chances. Everyone is just a ant, doing their job in a society of ants. And really I think the message is that MAYBE we should do something to change our life, others lives, even the world. Its not just describing everyones boringness, he's exemplifying it, using it to show that we should take time out of our "routines" to share things with others and make a diffrence. Lights down you up and die... I mean you did nothing your whole life and then you die. So take these chances, before that happens. |
