I agree. It's strikes me as a song about a guy who is unhappy with life, and with his relationship with the woman mentioned in the song. Maybe because of something he did? He mentions being "So sorry for everything" and then at the end of the song he "Melts like a witch and scream" which, to me, represents the facade he's being trying to reinforce in himself melting away... His frustration with the situation boils over.
I dunno, a lot of the song is still a mystery to me. |

This song is about sex for the first time. Maybe not the first time either, but good sex.... or scary sex, if that makes any sense. Like.... nervous sex? haha Basically, the sex is deeply felt on an emotional level. I equate the chorus to the "on a cloud" post-sex feeling. Just walking around, enjoying that buzz... I imagine sex in dawn-lit central park. ;)
Anyways, the "my fur is hot, my tongue is cold," the chorus and the final verse are key to my thinking. |

i actually take this song differently than most, the way i see it the narrator and his wife are two bitter, pessimistic people who ARE completely in love with each other and they cant stand anyone but each other and tho they may hate each other at times they cant live without each other.... that may not really be what the narrator is trying to say, but i think of it that way so HA! i love TMG |

i believe this song is about exactly what im going through right now...
i love my ex with all my heart and she loves me i know but we're both christians and we did some things that you're not supposed to be doing while youre not married (hint) and god had been putting it on her heart that we shouldnt be together anymore... at least right now... and i think this song is about him in the same situation and how he realizes that he was torn between the things of the world and god... just my opinion...

ok, so i have a theory about these lines,

i think the book he sees she is reading is the bible hence the complications of kissing her on the mouth are that she is a christian and her faith says that kissing is an act that removes you from god... just a theory |
