Bruce Springsteen – Streets of Fire Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Bruce Springsteen – Prove It All Night Lyrics | 15 years ago |
among my fave Bruce tunes! can't get enough of this album... 'what is means to steal... to cheat... to lie, what it's like to LIVE and DIE!!' Awesome! |
Bruce Springsteen – Loose Change Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Classic Springsteen, right from the the first line. Excellent song! Absolutely love the lines: "Got my bags packed in the back and I'm tryin' to get going again But red just goes to green and green goes red and then" |
Bruce Springsteen – Frankie Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Wow! surprising to see no comments on this beauty! Definitely one of my Springsteens favourites... wonderful melody and lyrics. Reminds me of summer; driving down dusty forestry roads and screaming Bruce tunes "Here we go! Hit it!" |
M. Ward – Requiem Lyrics | 17 years ago |
that's the best interpretation i've seen on this site, or anywhere for that matter. |
M. Ward – It Won't Happen Twice Lyrics | 17 years ago |
fantastic song. i think its fairly safe to say its about the impermanence of bad times/events and how things will get better/change. You'll eventually find love, be braver, and probably just become more experienced in life and not make the same mistakes over again. |
M. Ward – Rollercoaster Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I've always thought of it as being a song about a woman who was exceptionally good sexually. Especially with the "make a dead man scream" line. The woman is so intense in bed, that she could do that. As well, it's the most 'unbelievable ride' line could support that, but that was just my first impression. |
Bob Dylan – Up on Cripple Creek Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i'm pretty certain its a Band original. |
Bob Dylan – You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go Lyrics | 19 years ago |
ya i really love this song, awesome imagery. i find its just a really simple, easy to enjoy song. |
Neil Young – Lookout Joe Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i read somewhere that its about the soldiers returning from vietnam and finding themselves in a stranger place than they remember. Joe is as in GI Joe, and America has changed, as there's now "hip drag queens" and "side-walkin' street wheelers" |
Neil Young – Long May You Run Lyrics | 19 years ago |
it says on the Decade sleeve that its for his first car and his last woman. but i think its just his first car, as it doesn't have much about a woman in it. chrome heart shining, the empty ocean road, trunks full of memories. all car stuff. and also, the mentioning of the Beach Boys, who had many songs about cars. |
Neil Young – Helpless Lyrics | 19 years ago |
he even mentions Blind River in Long May You Run, that's clearly what its about. |
Neil Young – Ambulance Blues Lyrics | 19 years ago |
apparently at the beginning he's singing about when he was playing clubs in Toronto. "back in the old folky days". and at that time he was staying in an apartment complex that was Isabella suites or something like that, and since he left its been torn down. he even says later on "Well, I'm up in T.O. keepin' jive alive". |
Bob Dylan – Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i thought it was about Joan Baez? because in On The Road With Bob Dylan, when Joan and Sara are sitting together, it refers to it as "Sara" and "Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands", sitting together. and Dylan did have a relationship with Baez earlier so... its possible. |
Grateful Dead – Dear Mr. Fantasy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
isn't this song by traffic, or is one of them a cover? |
Neil Young – Ambulance Blues Lyrics | 20 years ago |
apparently the "I never knew a man/could tell so many lies/He had a different story/for every set of eyes" lines are referring to Nixon. but as for the rest of it i have no clue either. |
Neil Young – Bandit Lyrics | 20 years ago |
this song just fits in with the whole Greendale story. its about the cousin i think? i can't remember which family member its about, but he's all depressed cause he can't sell his paintings and he hasn't gotten a job since he returned from war. |
