Peter Gabriel – Blood Of Eden Lyrics

The whole album the song comes from ("US") centers around his divorce. It makes for a lot of great sad songs like this one, and angry songs like "Digging in the Dirt" |

Genesis – Who Dunnit? Lyrics

I HATE this song with a passion. To this day I refuse to admit that Genesis wrote, developed, accepted, recorded, and released this garbage. At the time this song was written Genesis consisted of three phenomenal musicians who were capable of writing something much better than Who Dunnit.
I think the song is about how bad the song itself is, and the band members are arguing amongst themselves over who wrote it; none of them wanting to claim responsibility for the aggravating, repetitive, obnoxious, and shameful piece of crap song that could possibly end their reputation in the music industry.
My only question is, "how could they?" By far, Genesis made some of the most fantastic music in human history. This song was truly uncalled for.
Genesis is my favorite band ever, and I'm probably their biggest fan. This song, however, is probably the sole reason the "SKIP >>" button on CD players was invented. |

Genesis – Ripples Lyrics

Indeed, this is a great song. It is also one of the less known Genesis songs because it was from the late 70's, and it preceded the slew of mainstream songs they would produce later. A lot of the songs from this timeframe were written by Tony Banks and are AMAZING. |

Genesis – Dodo/Lurker Lyrics

The riddle at the bottom, I believe refers to a submarine, being made of brownish metal, periodically surfacing for air, needing no wings to manuever. A submarine would have a fear of being FIRED on, and of taking on water. The only part I don't get is the "heart of stone" thing, but everything else seems to point to a submarine. |
