A friend of mine is a huge Zeppelin fan. After correcting my pronunciation of the song title one day he told me it was about this: He said one of the band members (I can't remember which) was on his honeymoon in Jamiaca and got in a fight with his new wife and wrote this song. Since I didn't know my friend to be a bullshit artist I came here today to see if I could verify this information. So now I've shared another rumor with you all and I still don't know jack. Jeez. |

In a TV interview the group did they were asked how this song came about. Nancy Wilson said it was from a time in her life when she was young and impressionable and very hippy. She was living with a man in the mountains in a hippy fashion, "washing clothes by hand and hanging them in the wind to dry". And so everything seemed very magical and earthy to her then. Now she looks back and thinks "who was that person". That's what she said anyway. |
