| I am LDS, as is Brandon, so I think I probably understand where he's coming from better than most. In the LDS church we do not believe in sex before marriage, so this doesn't have to about adultery or a gay relationship (as many have suggested), merely 2 people who are in love but not married. They are in love, in a room together, and they're feeling very tempted. The part about devil's fiery arrows comes from a scripture about putting on the armor of god, so that when the devil shoots his fiery arrows (temptation/sin) at you, you'll be protected. I know that before I married my wife we felt like this; like we were caught between the crossfire of heaven and hell, heaven trying to help us hold to our principles, and hell trying to get us to slip up. | |
