|Modest Mouse – People as Places as People Lyrics||3 years ago|
|This and a few other songs seem to have a running underlying meaning that acknowledges the band's change vs the will of the early fans. But maybe i'm just seeing what I want to see.|
|Modest Mouse – March Into the Sea Lyrics||3 years ago|
|Maybe it's just me, but I see this song as being about how all the old Modest Mouse fans think that they've changed for the worst and that they're sell outs. And Isaac Brock is saying that he doesn't care, he even laughs at them, and he thinks that they're trying to tell him how to do what he does.|
|Butch Walker – Be Good Until Then Lyrics||3 years ago|
The meaning is pretty obvious. He's writing a song for his new born son.
"Try to rarely ever oversleep
Always keep your ego at your feet
Maybe try to practice what you preach
once in a while"
^^ Favorite part.
|Butch Walker – Lights Out Lyrics||3 years ago|
No, the line is "Bourbon rhymes with hurtin'." It goes along with the Vodka rhymes with lotsa, it's pretty much just about him drinking his sorrow away.
I think this song is about him getting broken up with. But I don't think he has a good time afterward. He just kind of becomes a sad jerk, hence "Doggin' on others is now my profession // Since you blew the lights out in my heart."
