No, I honestly don't think this song has any relation at all to drugs and addiction. "Light up, light up" Is merely saying, be happy again. To think I might not see those eyes Makes it so hard not to cry And as we said our long goodbyes I nearly did "I nearly did" means he nearly cried because he mentioned it makes it hard not to cry when they said good bye but he "nearly did". And it will be "making up for all this mess" I think you can look at it from the perspective or drugs and addiction but it makes more sense in another :) |
