In my opinion, much like the alluded to Trojan Horse, once the central character (the Trojans) lets the companion's (Greeks) love (the horse) in to his/her life (castle), it is already too late to change what had happened. I also find it interesting that if you put the original poem which describes the historic event of the Trojan Horse (Virgil's Aeneid) to the music of this song, it kind of works :) Many of the lines, when put in synchronocity with the syllabic rythm of the actual poem, appear to correspond. However, I'm sure this is just a coincidence. |
