like a lot of the songs on this album i think this has a connection to God and the horrible politics in the world. I know Bellamy is greatly interested in the conspiracies that involve 9/11, illuminati, etc. this song is just another reflection of that. it continues throughout the rest of the album. the last song on 'Absolution' is Ruled by Secrecy based off the book Rule by secrecy. that book must have inspired much of this album |

i see the connection as a typical love song but i really think it is a dialog between a person and God. the verses are the person and the chorus is God responding. it is like someone is drifting off from God and God says "i'll never let you go, if you promise to never fade away." and God wants to take care of his creation that is falling away from him and slipping into darkness and starlight/God is what the person needs |

this about the mass media controlled by our government. they feed us bullshit/propoganda that allows stupid shit to go on in this country and our world. as for SCHREDDER1316 "ignorance is bliss for those uneducated" it is pointing out the unfairness for those that are educated and are held back by ignorant people. they cannot have bliss until everyone is educated/WAKES UP so things can change. |

i'm shocked no one made the connection of "6 protons, 6 neutrons, 6 electrons" to 666 the mark of the beast or satan. the ending of the song, the music turns dark and evil in a way. i don't think it is referring to carbon. the devil is what controls and keeps us from reaching our higher being. the devil seems to have reigned since civilization started. all civilizations with great power like the egyptians, romans... kept things secret as far as how the universe works. astrology has been around for a long time and those people seem to have understood it quite well. our current governments included. i would have to say they are all pretty evil. |
