This goes without saying, but please do not try to cut the sleeve while it is on your arm or leg.Step 3: Lay out the cut sleeves side by side to make sure they are relatively the same length. Trim if necessary.Step 4: Take the cut edge of one of the sleeves and fold in a ? inch hem toward the inside of the sleeve. Use pins to secure. Continue this around the entire edge on both sleeves.Step 5: Find thread that matches the sleeves and thread the needle. Sew down at least ? inch from the top of the hem all the way around and secure with a few good knots. Trim the excess thread.
