This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.
This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
I've got a new age girl (tell us what she's like)
Environmentalist girl (does she ride a bike?)
She has crystal necklace (does she spend a lot of cash?)
Though her vibes are rather reckless (she's heading for a crash)
Oh, her flowing skirt is blowing in a transcendental wind
And she wonders without knowing where did she begin
Mary Moon, she's a vegetarian
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon will outlive all the septuagenarians
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Oh, she loves me so, she hates to be alone
Don't eat meat but she sure like the bone
You knew she drives a wind car (how does she like it?)
It doesn't get her far (why doesn't she bike it?)
But it gets her to where she's going to
(I don't know, I don't know, I don't know)
Where that is, wish I knew
Don't know where she's going
And I don't know where she's been
All I know that loving her has gotta be a sin
Mary Moon, she's a vegetarian
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon will outlive all the septuagenarians
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Oh, she loves me so, she hates to be alone
Don't eat meat but she sure like the bone
Mary Moon, will you hesitate?
Don't segregate your thought from your emotions (Mary Moon)
I know that devotion isn't way up there
Mary Moon, she's a vegetarian
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon will outlive all the septuagenarians
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon, she's an intellectual
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon, despite that fact remains quite sexual
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Oh, Mary Moon
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
Mary Moon
(Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon)
She's the one for me, me, oh
Environmentalist girl (does she ride a bike?)

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
i have no idea who exaclty this artist is...all i am gonna comment is that the name of the band is the title of a good Kurt Vonnegut Jr. book, and if these guys read that then they couldn't be half bad....
Dogs Yep... Thats it.... -_- Isn't it obvious?! Duh! His love for Mary Moon!
she don't eat meat but she sure like the bone...
I'd say Deathsdoor is right. It's about the "good girl". She's smart and well-behaved on the outside. But deep down, she's very lustful. She's the stereotypical quiet girl with a hidden wild side.
its about a girl hes in love with and hes just marveling about how damn amazing she is
the bone lyrics is fricken hilarious
KURT VONNEGUT JR. IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!
songs about a guy who is in love with a beautiful girl who happens to be a lil' on the weird side, in other words she's from san francisco, ...just kidding. he falls in love and then he bones her, cuz she likes it.
ps good song for dumb and dumber
I think it's mainly about a girl, who seems really proper and respected but as they so eloquently put it, "sure loves the bone". In other words she's a nice girl but underneath is a sexaholic.
@Pulvinar: "yoga, environmentalism, karma, meditation, romanticism/transcendentalism, vegan/vegetarian"...this type of girl is not only a good girl, but is the best type!! PS--Sex is also good, and we are all sexual beings. I'll recommend an ethical research starting point for you: "Terrorists or Freedom Fighters? Reflections on the Liberation of Animals", "Food, Inc.", "Constantine's Sword", "101 Reasons To Be A Vegetarian 2009 pdf", "Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine vegan diet videos", "The Essene Gospel of Peace", "Essene New Testament" and "Earthlings". BTW: you may not realize it, but you misspelled 3 of the words in the quote of yours I provided...keep practicing! You'll get it.
HAHA this is the funniest song. it basically means shes a good girl, perfect in his eyes and she hates giving head however she loves sex
Yup, that's about it. Definitely a funny tune. Perfect ending for an evening that included watching the movie "Day of The Living Dead" (2007). It included a "veggie zombie" who, of course, was no threat to humans because he didn't eat meat :) Ugh...the things we'll do for our children :)
She doesn't like giving head? I thought that that was what the whole "bone" thing was about (yeah, I know, she don't eat meat, but I took THAT part to be literal). As for liking sex, isn't that the song alludes to be saying she rides a "wooden car" to get her to where she's going?
This song samples "Fight Like a Brave" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or at the very least is closely inspired by it. Listen to the first 10 seconds of both songs, and you'll notice a distinct similarity.
