Me with the floorshow
Kickin' with your torso
Boys getting high
And the girls even more so
Wave your hands if you're not with the man
Can I kick it (yes you can)
I got (funk)
You got (soul)
We got everybody
I've got the gift
Gonna stick it in the goal
It's time to move your body

Babylon back in business
Can I get a witness
Every girl, every man (ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Houston, do you hear me?
Ground control, can you feel me?
Need permission to land

I don't want to rock, DJ
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop, DJ?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

Singin' in the classes
Music for your masses
Give no head
No backstage passes
Have a proper giggle
I'll be quite polite
But when I rock the mic
I rock the mic (right)
You got no love, then you're with the wrong man
It's time to move your body
If you can't get a girl but your best friend can
It's time to move your body

I don't want to be sleazy
Baby, just tease me
Got no family planned (ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Houston, do you hear me?
Ground control, can you feel me?
Need permission to land

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ (DJ)
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ (DJ)
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ (DJ)?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

Pimpin' ain't easy
Most of them fleece me
Every night
Pimpin' ain't easy
But if you're sellin' it (sellin' it, sellin' it)
It's alright

(Come on)

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ (DJ)
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ (DJ)?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ (DJ)
But you're making me feel so nice (ooh-ooh-ooh)
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ (DJ)?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

I don't want to rock (rock), DJ
But you're making me feel so nice
When's it gonna stop (stop), DJ (DJ)?
'Cause you're keepin' me up all night

yeh robbie is brilliant! This song has no meaning at all, even Robbie said it himself, he said the song means nothing, and is just lots of rubbish put together! lol

He's got a great sense of humour, and this song demonstrates it brilliantly. A catchy song, and an eternally fun one.

In some interview Robbie said he made this song in about 15 minutes and he hasn't got any idea what the lyrics are about. It's got nice melody though and when you're clubbing it always turns the heat up! :)

I love thissong! It just really gets my blood pumping. There is one bit, where there is just music for a couple of second, then he goes 'come on' and directly after that, there are these four, like, techno beats. I always love that bit. And the filmclip is funny.

It's no wonder that Robbie claimed to have no idea what the lyrics were about - the standard response when asked about words that are almost pornographic in nature. Robbie is singing about a backstage orgy... Me with the floorshow - Robbie with all the dancers from his show kicking with your torso - basically a more cryptic way to say "humping" or "thrusting" with the hips. "wave your hands if you're not with a man" - he is looking for a girl who is still looking for a partner "I've got the gift" - his "manhood" - "gonna stick it in the goal" - which could have just as easily been "stick it in the girl", then "it's time to move your body" "Babylon back in business" - means he's back in the saddle, having sex again "Houston can you hear me, ground control can you feel me, need permission to land" - he's asking for a place to park his "piece" "I don't wanna rock dj, but you're making me feel so nice", is an apology to his partner, which could just as easily have been called "bj" (and you know what that means), for using too much motion. He can't help responding enthusiastically to the pleasure he is receiving. This interpretation is supported by "give no head, no backstage passes", which is pretty obviously about which groupies get backstage passes - (any questions?) "have a proper giggle, I'll be quite polite, but when I rock the mic, I rock the mic" - well, it should be clear what "mic" he's rocking (enthusiasticaly). During this whole process, he's wondering "when's it gonna stop, cause you're "keeping me up" all night" - can you guess how his partner's keeping him up? "I don't wanna be sleazy, baby just tease me got no family plan" - is about the one way nature of this partnering - with Robbie receiving all the pleasure, and no chance of getting anyone pregnant "pimping ain't easy, most of them fleece me every night" - is about the fact that Robbie is expected to provide a nightly party scene for his whole troupe, often without any thanks or return of the favour. He's the pimp, providing the band with girls, and he gets nothing in return for it.

I know this interpretation is kind of disgusting, but hey, Robbie Williams can be a bit of a pig, can't he? I don't think his original intent is as innocent as he implies in his interviews.

I used to play this song a lot when I played Nitemare 3D as a kid. First time I saw/heard it was when I went over to a friend's place for a party. So this song has good associations to me- happy, boppy and perhaps meaningless. The video of this song is actually pretty gross towards the end... Robbie really strips down, and I mean really... skin and all.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
