This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
I can't shake this feeling from my head
There's a devil sleeping in my bed
Watching you from across the way
I cannot make this feeling go away
I know it's not the right thing
And I know it's not the good thing
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
I'm not sure of what I should do
When every thought I'm thinking of is you
All of my excuses turn to lies
Maybe god will cover up his eyes
I know it's not the right thing
And I know it's not the good thing
But kinda I want to, but kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
Maybe just for tonight
We can pretend it's alright
What's the price I pay
I don't care what they say
I want to
I want to (I'll take my chance tonight)
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to
There's a devil sleeping in my bed
Watching you from across the way
I cannot make this feeling go away
I know it's not the right thing
And I know it's not the good thing
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
I'm not sure of what I should do
When every thought I'm thinking of is you
All of my excuses turn to lies
Maybe god will cover up his eyes
I know it's not the right thing
And I know it's not the good thing
But kinda I want to, but kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
But kinda I want to
Maybe just for tonight
We can pretend it's alright
What's the price I pay
I don't care what they say
I want to
I want to (I'll take my chance tonight)
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to
I want to

Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Blue

Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
This song is about a short lived addiction to crack cocaine suffered by Trent Reznor. He is singing about his crackpipe on the other side of the room. (I got this from an interview I don't make this shit up)
"Sanctified" is the song that Trent said was about cocaine. "Kinda I Want To" is about someone strugging with homosexual desire.
i wonder who the lucky guy is.
trent reznors bi? ther goes another cool person added to my cool homos list along with freddie mercury and rob halford
trent reznors bi? lol thats awesome... courtney love is always claiming hes a homophobic bastard... LMAO shes such a fucking whore.
Is he seriously bi? Was he ever? If he was, is that stage in his life over?
***If he is bi, that would explain the "Sin" video a bit.
Sure, get both.
You know, Trent actually doesn't like this song, which is why he won't play it live... I think it fucking rocks, a live version would be nice.
As far as the meaning, I think it's about temptation. He's trying to resist, but as implied by the title, he wants to indulge his temptation.
Really? Hmm, I heard this song was about trent being bi-curious. Yes, folks, for those who don't know trent swings on both sides of the fence if ya know what I mean. Watch, some people still won't believe it. "But he's married!"
LOL Married!? Yeah right... I completely agree with you by the way. And not that there's anything wrong with that (Seinfeld voice.)
Helixi- Trent's not married. He's never been married. He was supposed to be featured on VH1's "Most Eligible Bachelors" show earlier this year, but something was fucked with his publicist.
