This is the way you left me
I'm not pretending
No hope, no love, no glory
No happy ending

This is the way that we love
Like it's forever
Then live the rest of our life
But not together

Wake up in the morning
Stumble on my life
Can't get no love without sacrifice
If anything should happen
I guess I wish you well
Mmm a little bit of heaven
But a little bit of hell

This is the hardest story (ooh)
That I have ever told,
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wasted
And I'm wasting every day

This is the way you left me
I'm not pretending
No hope, no love, no glory
No happy ending

This is the way that we love
Like it's forever
Then live the rest of our life
Both not together

Two o'clock in the morning
Something's on my mind
Can't get no rest
Keep walking around
If I pretend that nothing ever went wrong

I can get to my sleep
I can dream that we just carried on

This is the hardest story
That I have ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wasted
And I'm wasting every day

Oh I feel as if I'm wasted (this is the way you left me, I'm not pretending)
(No hope, no love, no glory, no happy ending)
And I'm wasting every day (this is the way that we love, like it's forever)
Then live the rest of our life
But not together

A little bit of love (little bit of love, little bit of love)
(Little bit of love, little bit of love)
Little bit of love (little bit of love, little bit of love)
Little bit of love (little bit of love)
Little bit of love (little bit of love)
Little bit of love (little bit of love)
Little bit of love (little bit of love)
Little bit of love, love (little bit of love, little bit of love)

I feel as if I'm wasted (little bit of love, little bit of love)
And I'm wasting every day (little bit of love, little bit of love)

Hey, hey, hey hey (little bit of love, little bit of love)

This is the way you left me
I'm not pretending
No hope, no love, no glory
No happy ending

This is the way that we love
Like it's forever
Then live the rest of our life
Both not together
This is the way you left me
I'm not pretending
No hope, no love, no glory
No happy ending

This is the way that we love
Like it's forever
Then live the rest of our life
Both not together

This is the way you left me
I'm not pretending
No hope, no love, no glory
No happy ending

How can you not like the hidden track? It's the most gorgeous thing I have heard in ages. Sounds like it belongs on the Donnie Darko soundtrack. :)

I love this song but i have to say i love the hidden track more, starting with the piano accompaniment, then what sounds like strings, and finally the voice accompaniment sound beautiful. I agree, Tack-O-Rama, it does sound like it should be from Donnie Dark.

A bad breakup, can't get over them. But they know themselves they have to carry on with life. Even though they do, they feel, to put it bluntly, quite crap.

i fell in love with this song straight away and continued to listen to it over and over again. It instantly reminded me of me and my ex coz sounds a bit like how she left me.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
