Well, two spinning spheres
Two spinning spheres in a bed of stars
Silence is super, staring into space
I wonder where you are

You're all that I've ever needed
I know that you won't feel it

Drift out into darkness, lost out on horizon
It's alright, it's alright
I'll be your respirator, I'll be your pressure suit
It's alright, it's alright

Violently clear the upper atmosphere
Raging out your hearts
Somewhere far beneath your pointed tongue
And teeth is where you really are

Don't want to be forgiven
But drag you down from where you are

Drift out in the darkness, lost out on horizon
It's alright, it's alright
I'll be your respirator, I'll be your parachute
It's alright, it's alright, ooh, ooh

I'll be your respirator, I'll be your pressure suit
It's alright, it's alright

I will not let you go, oh

Two spinning spheres, they spin together, I'm gon' spin alone
I don't know how I can do this, I don't know how to get through
It's alright, it's alright
I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you

I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
It's alright, it's alright

I'll be your respirator, I'll be your pressure suit
It's alright, it's alright
I'll be your four leaf clover, I'll be your pressure suit
I'll be your angel wings, I'll be your parachute
I'll be your running reason, I'll be your only reason, oh

I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
I can't stop loving you, I can't stop loving you
It's alright, it's alright

I'll be your respirator, I'll be your pressure suit

I think this song is just about how much a man loves this woman is hurting. She's in pain and can't handle life and so she treats him bad, but he's still there for her. No matter what she does or how different they are, he will not stop loving her. He'll do anything to be there for her. Much like a lot of us would for that one person....

I think part of it goes: "Violently clear, the upper atmosphere, raging out your heart...." But I'm not sure...

I love this song, it's so sweet... I really like the part: "I'll be your four leaf clover I'll be your pressure suit I'll be your angel wings I'll be your parachute I'll be your only reason I'll be your only reason I can't stop loving you....."

That sounds right to me, dustfinger. Thanks!

This song is fantastic, as is the rest of the new album.

This song is the epitome of my love for a certain woman. I have never turned down women until I meet this woman. She is the essence of my being and I have no control over it. I have no power over myself and it scares me more than life itself. “You’re all I’ve ever needed… I can’t stop loving you.”

The line "I know I let you down." is actually "I will not let you go"

I can't believe there are only a couple comments on this song. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

It's a guy completely infactuated, lusting and loving a woman with everything he has. He says, I'll basically be anything and everything you'll ever need.

"I'll be your respirator I'll be your pressure suit It's alright, its alright I'll be your four leaf clover I'll be your pressure suit I'll be your angel wings I'll be your parachute"

    Beautiful.

These lyrics are wrong... the way I have them, they make sense to me. I think he's found his "star"... Doesn't think that being so high off in space she'll be able to feel even just how much he cares about her. Doesn't want forgiveness for bringing her back down to where he can reach her... He'll be all she needs.

We're two spinning spheres, two spinning spheres In a bed of stars Silence is super Staring into space I wonder where you are

You're all that I've ever needed I know that you won't feel it

Drift out into darkness Lost out on horizon It's alright It's alright I'll be your respirator I'll be your pressure suit It's alright It's alright

Finally clear, the upper atmosphere Raging out your heart Somewhere far beneath Your pointed tongue and teeth Is where you really are

Don't want to be forgiven But drag you down from where you are

Drift out in the darkness Lost out on horizon It's alright It's alright I'll be your respirator I'll be your parachute It's alright It's alright

    Oooohhhh oh Mmmm, ohhhh oh

I'll be your respirator I'll be your pressure suit It's alright, It's alright

I will not let you go...ohh

Two spinning spheres, they spin together And they spin alone I don't know how I can do this I don't know how to get through It's alright, It's alright I can't stop loving you (10x)

    It's alright, It's alright

I'll be your respirator I'll be your pressure suit It's alright, It's alright I'll be your four leaf clover I'll be your pressure suit I'll be your engine used I'll be your parachute I'll be your running reason I'll be your only reason Ohhhh, ohhhhhh I can't stop loving you (4x) It's alright, It's alright

I'll be your respirator I'll be your pressure suit

Sorry, "engine used" is, indeed, "angel wings". I forgot to make these corrections when I found the lyrics on another site.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
