I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. A couple of years ago my cousin died, she was only a year old and I'd helped my aunt take care of her since she was three months old. She was more like a little sister to me than a cousin. For three months after she died I couldn't cry or even talk about her then I heard this song. I realized that it was okay to cry,that it didn't make me weak.
It is simply a sweet song written about the fact that People come and go. Take advantage of the time you have.
