We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easy to identify
Look me in the eye
And ask for forgiveness
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes, you are my friend
We all have something that digs at us
At least we dig each other

So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone, oh oh oh

We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try
We all have someone that digs at us
At least we dig each other

So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine

If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone
Oh, each other
When everything else is gone

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Oh
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone
Oh, each other (sing this song)
When everything else is gone
Oh, each other
When everything else is gone

I look at it in the sense of a person digging through the layers of superficiality and uncovering what really lies underneath in another person. If one of the two becomes bitter or wretched in the world crowded by such negative feelings, the other will "dig" out the good in the other, and make them whole again. Such an amazing songs I have passed on to my friends.

Its about changing who you are...its almost as if the writer wrote a letter to his friend asking him that if he changes or tries to act better than everyone else (So when weakness turns my ego up) he needs his friend to bring him back to the way he was (I know you'll count on the me from yesterday.). get rid of this new me and get me back to the way i was.(dig me up from under what is covering the better part of me.) always be there for me, even when nobody else is (remind me that we'll always have each other when everything else is gone.) basically this songs about friendship...thats what i think...

whether it be your bf/gf, or friend, or family member.. this is how i see it.

that when your at your very worst, and you loose faith in yourself and everything around you, by whatever problem or circumstance your in. that when you loose yourself completely through all the negativity, there's always going to be that someone that can "save" you or "dig" you from whatever's taking over and find the good in you, and make you whole again.

What a song! I'm thinking that its about the guys in the band always keeping each others feet on the ground and that they'll always be friends no matter what little things each does to bug or "dig" at another. I can see this song being a pretty damn successful single

    My Interpretation

I don't think words can describe the pure simplicity of this song that tackles such a deeper, profound meaning. Friendship? Yes. But more importantly, the rawness of one's personal friendships, relationships and connections with people that truly touch our hearts in this harsh world. The first time I heard this song, I liked it. Usually it takes a couple of listens to hear the inner beauty, but this was expertly crafted to hit the heart quickly and heavily. Bravo Incubus, you have restored my faith in good, simple, heartfelt music.

It's hard to find someone who will dig you out instead of dig into you.

By far one of my favorite songs on the new album and a fav among ALL thier songs, and that's saying a lot.

Brings on the same sort of feelings that "The Warmth" does, and yea it's really hard not to listen to again and again. I always play it whenever I put the new CD in.

Can't WAIT to see them live here in orlando playing it

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
