Under your spell again
I can't say no to you
Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand
I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly
Now I can't let go of this dream
I can't breathe but I feel

Good enough
I feel good enough
For you

Drink up sweet decadence
I can't say no to you
And I've completely lost myself and I don't mind
I can't say no to you

Shouldn't let you conquer me completely
Now I can't let go of this dream
Can't believe that I feel

Good enough
I feel good enough
It's been such a long time coming
But I feel good

And I'm still waiting for the rain to fall
Pour real life down on me
'Cause I can't hold on
To anything this good enough
Am I good enough
For you to love me too?

So take care what you ask of me
'Cause I can't say no

Amy Lee has said that this was the last song she wrote for the album, and it's the song that best represents her current state of mind. She said it's just about the only happy song she's ever written, and she was a little scared to show it to the rest of the band, but they like it too.

To me it doesn't seem completely happy though... "I can't say no" suggests that she's sort of trapped in some way. Or maybe everything's so brilliant at the moment she can't be negative. Either way, I am sort of sensing a more negatove undertone to it.

Wow. I LOVE this song. Her voice sounds amazing in it. The piano at the beggining is great. I love how her voice goes all raspy on this part."cause I can't hold on to anything this good enough" When she is saying enough. =] I love it

This song relates to me exactly! Like, it wouldn't surprise me if it was written about me! Let me explain ...

I have/had an online friend. He's 20, I'm 16, I'm in Australia, he's not. So far nothing, right? However, I developed quite the strong crush on this guy. And I would do anything he asked me to. I literally can't say no to him. And it's kinda like he uses me sometimes, like I'm just a little kid to him ... but I still have feelings for him. For me this song is exactly that - and saying that sometimes I really feel like I'm good enough for that guy, even if I'm not.

It's all about what you think of yourself, I guess ;)

    Just my two cents.

I think this is about a crush, and how she just can't let go of it. It destroyed her for a while, but finally, she learned to accept it and finally feels 'good enough'. She knows it's bad, that it's not good for her (decadence) but it makes her feel so happy and she doesn't mind that she's lost herself.

Still, even while accepting it for what it is and not agonising over her feelings, she can't help wonder if she really is good enough and if she can keep it.

This song describes perfectly my feelings.

There is this Man, i know he's bad for me, and he doesn't care. he just want my body. I know he will never start a relationship with me, always just sex.

But i care a lot for him. I can't let him go, i come back everytime he want me to.He make me feel good when i'm around him, give me the feeling to be someone. i lost so much to him...

i think thats what amylee wanted to say in this song, that when you so deeply in Love, you would do anything for this Person. Even though she's very bad for yoz.

It get's happy at the end. When she sings "and I'm still waiting for the rain to fall" it's get's happier at the end. The intro is amazing.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
